I liked the way it looked from the outside and in! I also rather enjoyed the aesthetic of the place and I think i was very hopeful with the menu that was laid before me and the flavors were great( willing to overlook the dang chicken bone in my chicken enchiladas because that means they handle their own meat and it's a risk of stewing or marinating moreso fresh meat.) prices were awesome! I am only complaining about service. I saw our server 3 times in an hour visit. I have two kids who suck down drinks that may or may not need a refill. A husband who is ordering off the bar menu, and never got asked again after the first drink if he'd like another... he decided not to get another one. I don't know. I am an assistant cook in a fryer/flattop/ charcoal grill situation where my staff runs food and everything, and when I say my car and maybe a handful of diners were in there and I also saw a fair amount of employees, I would assume they would be itching to help the fee customers they had when u arrived with my family of ,4 who had the funds and intention to spend a decent bit with them because we had had a stressful day so far. We were excited to try another tex mex grille that wasn't corporated. Flavors have potential to be amazing. So does the building. Maybe try to make sure your staff isn't burn out by the time a 4 o clock family comes in. Sorry...but kind...
Read moreThis was a terrible experience. We stopped in the area because we were passing by. We specifically were looking for birria tacos. We asked the waitress as soon as we were seated. She in return got the owner (which we thought she was a manager). She told us that they do have them and how they were made there. We then order there special 3.99 margaritas and queso with beef. The waitress forgot the beef and was slow getting it correct. When the tacos finally came, we immediately noticed they looked odd. We love birria tacos and order them regularly. These were grilled with no birria sauce on the tortillas and were burnt badly. We literally got a little amount of juice on the side. I then asked for the manager. Another woman came out who told us who we thought was the manager was the owner. She let us know that they realized afterwards in the kitchen they did not have enough birria to complete the order. I then asked why not just come let us know and we would have politely left instead of wasting our time. They took the tacos off but we still had to pay for the little dip we ate and 2 horrible drinks. And we were still hungry. We paid and left promptly. The manager should have taken care of the whole check. We even still tipped the waitress. Ruined...
Read moreSupposedly awarded best restaurant in the county in 2023. Not at all what I’m seeing or experienced. First off the greeter never verbally acknowledges me when I walk in. When prompted for information, she turned her head to the right and in another language, ask someone else to to help me. I was able to place the order with another young lady and then proceeded to the bar to hopefully have a margarita and wait it out. Sat there for about five minutes and never acknowledged at the bar either. When I mentioned it to the lady that took my order all of a sudden the bartender shows up super friendly and now wants to know what I want. Credit to the manager who did try to come in ask if she could do anything to assist. Now I get home and my order is not correct. Shame on me for not checking it before I left but at that point I had had enough. Will not frequent this place again. Not sure how they keep that high score. Edited. Tamale went in the trash. I wish I could attach a picture to this review. Edited. I do appreciate what I feel is a genuine response as well. I do know getting good help can be tough. I do wish you the best and will try again in the future....
