I have always had great service here but it was pretty bad tonight. I placed my order online & when I showed up to pick it up the guy picked up the bag that I presume my order was in, looked at it, put it down & walked away & started helping people at the cashier counter without telling me anything. After what felt like a ridiculously long time I finally tried to get the attention of a woman behind the line to tell her I just need my 2 milkshakes. She didn't do anything & I couldn't tell what she said. I finally saw the guy who originally I thought was going to give me my order, flagged him down, only for him to tell me he was waiting on fries. I reminded him that he never told me that & that I had no idea what I was waiting on. It would have been nice to have that communicated to me rather than feel ignored. When he handed me my food & turned back around I asked about my milkshakes, to which he pointed to his colleague... the lady I'd previously tried to find out about my food from. After handing me my shakes & telling me they're out of drink carriers, she apologized. I don't know if just for the lack of drink carriers or the whole crappy experience. Everyone has their days/nights where things go wrong, so I don't get mad at boo-boo's. What makes me mad is the obvious lack of CARING. The lady who did my shakes (the only female there it appeared) is the only one who apologized. The guy who I first talked to never even apologized (that I heard, anyway) for not telling me why he appeared to ignore me... or for the long wait. I hope this is a one-off thing, because while their food is AMAZING, without the great service I've always gotten from them when picking up as a Doordasher AND as a customer... I don't know if it'll be enough to make me keep coming back if this is their new attitudes. It's unfortunately the attitudes of a LOT of people of a certain generation it seems. I am 49 & worked in customer service when younger, and I always tried to make customers feel like the most important people in the room...
Read moreI really wanted to like this five guys location, and I was very exckted to find they were opening because there aren't any this close to my house. However, I was very disappointed with my experience at this five guys. Normally I visit the five guys on Caroline street off of Moreland Ave. and the five guys on peachtree st. Never have I ever had a bad experience with these locations.
I visited the five guys conyers at about 8:00 PM and the entire place was filthy. Had to clean a table off to sit. I also noticed, like everyone else's reviews, that the prices were abnormally high for a five guys. There were also too many employees walking around aimlessly, Having like conversations amongst themselves, and just making the place appear worse visually as well as not making the best environment for customers. I waited about 10 minutes for just a single burger and fries. Upon recieving my food, the fries were warm. I'm accustomed to getting piping hot French fries with my order. These were room temperature, which was unacceptable to me for how long I'd waited on my food so I took them back to exchange for hot fries. I asked A young man with a ponytail could I get hot fries in a very polite way and the boy looks at me and says "what do you mean hot fries"..? Do you now know what hot means? As in hot temperature? So he gave me a tiny amount of French fries with no apology or anything and that was pretty much Thw final straw for me. I understand they are new and for that I will give them one more chance but for now I can definitely say the other locations I have been to are...

I was thrilled when Five Guys came to Conyers, GA. Before the pandemic hit every time I walked into this place the employees were vibrant and friendly as if they wanted to be there and the food was always on point! That's why I was so disappointed with the food on my last visit. I come here at least once a month and usually the food is spot on - however this visit was a major flop. The young man on the grill seemed less than enthused to be there. He had a scowl on his face and was not doing a good job at cooking the burgers and it came through in my first bite (did not finished the burger) and definitely the next day. I witnessed another employee on the fry station put hot fries on top of fries that have already been sitting there (in cups) for a period of time. I always enjoy the fries on my way home but not even halfway through the fries begin to taste cold and old (when did they start cooking the fries before the burgers/hot dogs are ready?) My stomach was in bad shape the next morning and I lost an entire day because I was confined to the house. I know it's hard finding good employees after the pandemic however it is imperative to have an employee in place to cook the food properly. I'm almost at the point where dinning out will be a thing of the past because the food and customer service at most places I frequent has gotten so bad! This is another restaurant on my list that will get a second chance to redeem themselves before I stop coming. I will keep you...
