My son and future daughter in law were planning on getting married in Aspen, Colorado Labor Day weekend. The ceremony was going to be held outside in the foothills of the famous Maroon Bells just as the summer season was turning into the splendors of fall. My future daughter in law, Micaela was planning the entire wedding and her vision for the wedding was for her bridal party to wear different shades of green to offset the colors of the lush trees and forest around us and for me and her mom to wear gold. I searched and searched for a suitable gold gown online and in all of the upscale stores near me and I struck out…until one of my friends told me about the Rene Ruiz collection. I immediately called the Coral Gables store and spoke to the manager of that location Michael Mendez. I told him what I was looking for and what size I am and he enthusiastically said “I HAVE THE ANSWER TO YOUR SEARCH!” I made an appointment to come in with my husband that very same afternoon and when I walked into the showroom Michael greeted me with a huge, warm smile. He led me over to a mannequin which was adorned with a magnificent gold gown and I was totally blown away with its sheer beauty. He took it off the mannequin for me to try on and it not only fit as if it was made for me, I was enchanted and giddy over its sheer brilliance. I don’t know who was more excited, Michael or me! My husband said this was the one. He took a picture of me in the gown which I texted to my future new daughter and she said “It’s perfect! It looks like it was made for you! If you feel beautiful in it then that’s the gown I would love to have you wear to our wedding.” Beaming, Michael asked me and my husband if we would like a glass of champagne! He made us feel like the celebration had already begun. We toasted to my gorgeous new dress, we toasted to Michael who told me earlier that he thought he had exactly what I was looking for in his showroom and to his genuine enthusiasm and joy when we walked into Rene Ruiz that very afternoon and we toasted to me feeling like a goddess at our son’s upcoming magical wedding in the foothills of one of the most beautiful places on earth. Everyone at my son Joey and Micaela’s wedding two weeks ago told me that my gown was absolutely magnificent. I felt beautiful and my heart was full. Anyone who has ever planned a big event like a wedding knows the massive details that go into every decision. It is far more than just planning the venue and picking out the band.

I want to take a few moments to talk about Michael's work and effort in helping me pick out the PERFECT Mother of the Bride Wedding Dress!!

The process began long before visiting the beautiful Coral Gables, Florida boutique. The process began weeks earlier when Michael and I started emailing each other about the dress. I informed him about my many wants and desires. He must have taken those thoughts and varied requests very seriously because when we confirmed the appointment, he said he had already arranged to have some dresses pulled for me that would be perfect. t. He sounded very confident!

When the day came that we made our way from Boston to Coral Gables, we arrived at the agreed-upon time, and Michael greeted us at the door with a big smile, let us in, and locked the door behind us. He made it perfectly clear that we were his priority.

The next hour was a blur of dresses and colors, and I stepped away from the process and let Michael do his magic. He showed me colors and styles that looked great on me that I would never have considered on my own. This whirlwind of activity led me to the final dress. Oncehad it on it, Michael explained how and why it looked perfect, and I had my ideal dress.

We then sat down, took careful measurements, and he explained how the process would go and the timeline. He put me 100% at ease and gave me the confidence that my dress would be in on time and that I could focus on the other many elements of the wedding that still had to be worked out.

It was a fantastic experience from beginning to end. Michael was friendly, professional, knowledgable, and had the confidence to put a nervous mother of the bride at ease. I could go on and on about the experience, but I will stop it here and flatly say that whenever I need a high-quality, special occasion dress, my first and last call and stop will be the Rene Ruiz collection and Michael...

He showed strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of fashion trends, excellent customer skills, strong communication skills, confidence, and a genuine beautiful personality. After just two fittings, I was able to take my beautiful dress with me. The seamstress who made alterations was also meticulous with details. I am now the proud owner of two Rene Ruiz designer dresses. Can’t wait for the big day!
