My honest opinion so far is good, but more like 3.8 stars instead of 4 like I put. I've only eaten at the gables location, probably 5-6 times. It is pretty good. Parking can be difficult, but the restaurant itself, although on the smaller side, is very nice and trendy, always clean, service is fast and friendly.
Now to the important stuff. The food. I haven't tried their breakfast, but it's on my to-do list.
The ham croquetas are fried to order, so they've always been fresh and crunchy. However, they aren't the traditional "cuban bakery" skinny style, which I personally like better. These are the thicker "de la casa" style (house style). But the flavor is good.
The sandwiches are well made but also different. So farr I've tried 3 of them.
Miami Vice- did not like that much. Perhaps it's on me. Im not a huge ham fan, but it was highly recommended. The ham was alright, but it had way too much cheese, which overwhelmed the sandwich. I would not have it again.
Pan con Bistec- BEWARE: If you are looking for a traditional Cuban style steak sandwich, you will either love it or hate it. Their version taste good, BUUUT.... it's almost offensive to call it a "pan con bistec." This is no traditional steak sandwich. A regular cuban steak wich' is a thin steak typically cooked on a flat grill with mono and sautéed onions in a flattend Cuban bread with potato chip, lettuce and tomato. Theirs is completely different. Is like an almost shredded meat in a sorta tomato sauce with the potato chips and pickled onions. Again, it's not bad, but absolutely not what you'd expect.
Pan con Lechon- This is my go-to. It's also not super traditional, but it's closer to it compared to the steak version. This sandwich is delicious! Shredded mojo pork with picked onions. The only issue i have with the pork sandwich is that they do not let you add lettuce and tomato to it. I don't care if I have to pay a couple of dollars extra. This would really put the sandwich on a next level tier. It's already good, but it definitely needs that bit of freshness to tie it all up.
I think they should add a few more options to their menu as it's sorta limited. Maybe a regular style pan con bistec/lechon, and call it traditional and call "their" version "sanguich" style. Maybe a Philly cheesesteak too and burgers?
Overall, I enjoy this spot. Has room for improvement, but I'd say give it a shot!
Update: Just ordered a sandwich combo. Which added $5.. whatba rip, 1 can of soda and a bag of tostones chips. I thought it were real tostones..
Cmon. There are so many cuban goodies rather than bagged chips. How about real fries, Yuca fries,...

I am a loyal, repeat customer of Sanguich – Coral Gables, and each experience continues to surpass the last!
Let’s start with what Sanguich is not: this is not the ubiquitous coffee chain with drive-thrus on every corner and a green-and-white logo serving sugary, colorful drinks. Sanguich (a clever play on "sandwich") is the real deal — made-to-order coffee served classic ventanita style alongside contemporary fare featuring expertly crafted Cuban sandwiches, croquettes, hot buttered tostadas, boniato fries, milkshakes, and even unique creations like their craft tropical hot sauces (guava, pineapple — yes, please!).
The interior design of the Coral Gables location is a standout. It's a smart, open-concept space that’s warm, welcoming, and beautifully decorated. You can see straight into the open kitchen — a testament to their transparency and pride in cleanliness. And when I say clean, I mean immaculate: every nook and cranny is spotless. Whether you’re seated on the front patio soaking in the upscale charm of The Plaza or inside sipping your espresso from the elegant gold-trimmed Sanguich cup and saucer, the experience is elevated down to the smallest details — even their takeaway cups and bags are adorable!
They’re also constantly improving! Recently, they introduced a rewards system that makes your loyalty even sweeter — maximum bang for your buck without sacrificing quality.
And now for the heart of this place: the people. While Sanguich isn’t rooted in my personal culture, you’d never know it based on how welcomed and celebrated I feel every single time I visit. It’s like stepping into my own personal “Cheers,” where everyone knows my name — and my order! From the incredible Manager Vanessa to every single team member, the staff consistently delivers warm, respectful, and thoughtful service. They make every visit feel like a warm embrace and build a genuine sense of appreciation and loyalty.
Even in this economy, I never think twice about where to secure my coffee fix — Sanguich - Coral Gables will always be my first choice, first and foremost for the amazing people behind the counter.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, SANGUICH -...

We have seen multiple content on social media about this sandwich shop with the original location on Calle Ocho in [Little Havana] Miami. Parking is hard to find and the lines are long to get seated inside—so your best bet is to use the takeout window or go just a few more miles south to their newest location in Coral Gables, which is exactly what we did.
The ambiance is relaxing and good for groups with outside seating as well. The decor is lux—even in their restrooms! As far as the service, even though they got our order wrong, it was pleasant and overall good.
We ordered both Cuban and Media Noche sandwiches (the only difference is the bread), and Pan con Lechón (pulled pork sandwich). In addition, we ordered ham croquetas as a side and because I have always loved to include them in my Medianoche, and Boniato fries (not to be confused with sweet potato fries because they differ in color, consistency and taste). We also added a mango milkshake and a mamey milkshake, plus a traditional Iron Beer (nonalcoholic) for me!
In full disclosure, I personally didn’t find the authentic flavors that I expected. My preferred menu item was the croquetas which are made with Béchamel sauce—my favorite!
With that in mind, the experience was good and I recommend this sandwich place in Coral Gables for everyone to try at least once, especially tourists.
