Susan Rose Dresses — Attraction in Coral Springs

I’m giving this place 3 stars for now, but when my purchase is finalized and my dress survives my friend’s wedding successfully, then I will come back and update. Anyhow, I don’t know why people say the ladies here are rude. I actually thought it was very welcoming & that’s considering I visited 4 other places several days ago prior to stopping here. I tried 3 high end department stores, which shall not be named, and received no assistance. I then visited another high end boutique, and although someone finally showed up and asssiated, I still walked around the place for 5 minutes wondering if it was open for business. Then I decided to give Susan Rose a shot. Mind you, I walked in there letting the staff know that I wasn’t spending any money on the day of and that if I found a dress I loved, only then would I consider buying. I looked around and probably picked up something pretty expensive. She gave me no look of judgement and asked me the style I was looking for. To better assist me, she asked me for my price range, in which I provided. However, if I found something I love, I wouldn’t mind going over my budget a bit. She was very helpful and understanding. She walked me around the store and helped me picked out multiple items. I especially loved that she steered me away from the “mother-of-the-bride” section even though I was probably old enough to wear those dresses. In the end, we picked out 1/2 a dozen dresses for me to try on in a few days. I was just browsing during a lunch break so I extremely appreciated that she did not display any signs of annoyance that she was helping someone that wasn’t spending money that day. Furthermore, she must have believed I was either in my late 20s, and yet she never displayed any behaviors that would indicate that she had doubts about my ability to pay for the dresses I was looking at. Lastly, I’m also a minority and I was serviced just like all the other customers in the store who were not of minority backgrounds. With that said, I gave the place 1 ⭐️ for keeping the place tidy and smelling nice even though it’s a pretty small boutique, 1 ⭐️ for keeping a phenomenal array of dresses. Compared to the high end department stores, where I breezed through the racks without a pause, every other dress at Susan’s caught my attention. I was pleasantly surprised that they had such a large collection. Not only that, the collections are gorgeous. The last but not least, 1 ⭐️ for great customer service. I’ll reserve the last 2 ⭐️ ⭐️s for the fitting/purchasing experience and product quality. I will definitely update after...

I’ll start by saying that my dress ended up being fine (thanks to Diana, the seamstress), however my one star is given because of the stressful process and the poor service provided by the owner. My girlfriend (Ill let her give her own negative review) and I went there a few months ago both looking for dresses. I found an expensive cocktail dress that I splurged on and it was to be custom made to fit me. (I go to many galas and balls so I am very familiar with this process as I have gotten custom dresses and gowns from numerous other dress shops and boutiques over the years. The dresses always come in fitting me like a glove and need just a little nip and tuck here and there). This “custom made” dress however came in a completely different size and looked instead like a dress that had been ordered one size too big. Additionally and much more upsetting was that the dress had a ruffle that was placed differently in my dress than in the original dress that I tried on at the store and therefore did not hang correctly and would be difficult to fix. (I had a picture of me in the original dress so it was easy to compare). For some reason, everyone who saw the two pictures could see the difference immediately except for the owner. Instead, she made numerous excuses-“that doesn't matter”, “its because it needs to be altered”, “it needs to be pressed”,”its the way I pinned the original dress on you,” , and finally, “I don’t know what to tell you”. Actually I know exactly what she should have told me. She should have told me “Don’t worry. We will make sure we get it right and you leave happy” Instead I felt like she had no interest in making certain that her customer was happy-just that she be finished with the sale as soon as possible and her customer out the door. I truly hopes she is able to take this constructive criticism and rather than getting defensive in her response, is able apologize for making a customer feel like this and moving forward is able to take this advise. This dress shop is not what you would think. They are tiny and many of the dresses are for more mature woman not what I was looking for in a prom dress. The selection is small and dated.. Now to the good part .. We arrived early about 15 minutes and we were advised to wait while they swept..perfectly OK but then they allowed a man and his daughter in...I'm thinking excuse me so I stood and waited she came to the door and advised us again we don't open till 10.. finally let me my pregnant sister in law mother and daughter in. Told my daughter where to look for dresses she found a few so we asked the cost was advised $600 I stated this was out of budget and $300 would be better and her whole demeanor changed call me Vivian from pretty woman..my mother asked if there were other dressed and she answered my mother with attitude no our dresses start at $400..my mother answered her that's not what I asked if I need to put in I will I asked if there were more dresses as the selection is small..my daughter asked to try her last dress the woman answered her no it's $1000 and even the smallest of girls feel wide in this dress..Thanks for the body shaming of my much impressionable 17 year old. Thanks for showing us you have to be white and with money to enter 15 minutes early FYI we are puerto rican Dominican and Cuban..Thanks for the Wrong Pretty Moment you gave us..Big Mistake Giant Mistake please don't buy from these people

03/24/23--this an accurate review of how rude you are to your customers even my daughter advised how rude you were and no where does it advised different hours for other services and no you don't have a big selection of dresses for prom if you are a 50 year old there is plenty but they are overpriced. I wish I had read the previous reviews and listened to the woman who told me don't go there they are outdated ..please don't ever call...
