OK, I've been a professional Chef for over 30 years, and I am very particular about my chef jackets!! My nice ones are well over $100 and when they are embrodered they have to be super sharp. More than once I had the uniform company do it, and even though they do this all the time, they still screw it up! Crooked, lined up wrong, mostly they just don't have the right font, of they make the letters as thick as a marker. REcently I bought 4 jackets via work and they botched it so bad they had to replace the whole order! So, I had one primo Egyptian cotton jacket and was determined to do it right! Came here, spoke with the owner, shared with her my desired font, she worked with my to make it right, than at my request she stitched a sample, but its was not delicate and classy enough. She made adjustments, another sample, PERFECT! Together we decided exactly where it should go, and I was able to stand there and watch the machine do the job. Perfect! She made sure to double check, clip any loose threads. Stunning. Its been about 20 since I had it done like this, at that time by a company based in France. She even ran a test in Kelly Green, a stunning color, which was always my favorite. I told her that if I could do anything, I'd want to digitize my own signature for another jacket. If you watch the Bear or know top tier restaurants in big cities, this is an attention to detail that no decent Chef would ever overlook! (if a chef can't even pay attention to his own name on his chef jacket, how could he pay attention to your food?) I will most certainly go back to have my other work done, perhaps hats, or a windbreaker personalized. Indira at Design and Stitch has been custom making my hats for years. Even if I am away for a while she will recognize me. There is nowhere else I buy hats and I wear them all the time. She works hard to get all the colors and designs to match whatever your specifications are. I swear by this place being the best place to buy custom made hats. They have flexfit hats in different sizes as well. I give them a 5 star because it is the ONLY place I will buy my hats from. Just to give you a better idea. Both of us came up with these designs, colors, words, fonts, and sizes used in just a few short minutes. She had them all four done in about 30 minutes. I can’t say enough for how much I really appreciate this place. The best part is I can put my name on the back of my caps. Being flex fit hats everyone wants them but ask yourself who is going to try to take a hat with someone else’s name literally stitched into the back? 😉👍 Just saying. You can buy a LA or NY hat that is already designed and get your name stitched into it! That alone makes it all worth it to make a trip to go get you one. They do other stuff too. The woman at Design & Stitch is great! She has put my track and field logo on multiple items, such as backpacks, puffer vests (both pictured), hats, etc.! The production time is very quick. You can pick bring her your design and do some shopping in the mall and come back and your item will be complete. The prices are very reasonable as well.
