I have previously shopped at Runway Fashion, and felt that it was a nice environment so I decided to sell some clothes through them. I brought in two bags of clothes, and awaited their call, which never came.
A week later I call them, and come in. The gal informs me they would like to buy a few things and can give me $66 in cash, or $161 in store credit. I was appalled but since Iām a little strapped for cash at the moment I took the offer. I am astounded to have such a ridiculous difference of $100 when Iām providing the retail for them to sell. I should not be marked down $100 on items Iām selling to them if I donāt intend to use the money for clothes.
I donāt think Iāll be returning to Runway Fashion and am disappointed to have had this happen at a store I thought was run fairly.
Update to Response:
The issue simply is the extreme difference between cash and store credit. As I stated Iād prefer to use the money from selling my clothes to you folks for things better things, like groceries. Most people getting rid of clothes are looking open up closet space, not increase it. While it is nice you provide the option for store credit, the extreme ripoff from the difference in cash vs store credit is astounding and hurtful. Providing your sellers a closer price match to that of your store credit would be more beneficial, as the current difference is ridiculous. I wish you well in your business, however I will not take any...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe are visiting Corvallis for the day and decided to do a little shopping downtown. We found some items here, including a pair of really cute boots for my youngest daughter for $12. I had a couple of other items to buy and was looking at a purse while my oldest was trying on formals. I went to the counter to pay, and the salesperson asked me where I found the boots. When I indicated that they were with the other shoes, she informed me that she was sorry, but they were actually on hold for someone and not for sale. I may have let it slide, but the fact that their tone and unprofessional behavior during our entire visit finally got the best of me. I placed all my items on the counter, gathered my kids, and left. My sister, with whom I was shopping and had purchases of her own, also left without buying anything. I'm extremely disappointed with the service, and the store missed out on these sales from me. This was Wednesday, July 3 at about 11:30 am, in case you want to get your employees'...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen trying to get my friends stolen clothes back from this store for two weeks. The manager and owner are saying different things and not returning stolen items to their owner. Refusing to return almost $300 worth of clothes, you bought for $16. Greedy Greedy. On top of that you also sold $1600 worth of my stolen clothes. The person who sold them the clothes even said it wasn't his! They were "his girlfriend's". I have never met a girl who's shoes ranged from size 5 to size 9, shirt size X-small to X-large, and pants ranging from a size 2 to a size 14. The clothes were obviously stolen. Your staff needs to be retrained, communication needs to be better, and you need to ACTUALLY help the police instead of further hurting the victims by knowingly holding onto stolen property. Just a thought and HONEST review. I hope whoever bought my $1600 worth of clothes really enjoys them. I know I would be happy with multiple pairs of hudson jeans, new hunter boots, and...
