Went in to have lunch with my 2 daughters and a friend around 2pm, received drinks and ordered food around 215-3 appetizers, 3 entrees and salads/soup. We received our salads n soups with no issues in just a few mins however it was 330 before we received entrees and never did receive our appetizers. The waitress was very sweet and apologized saying the kitchen had had several large parties submit orders prior to ours, which was fine and not her fault however the kitchen only made one of the appetizers (spin dip) and it was just sitting in the window so she offered it to us as a take home item at no charge and apologized several times.
As a restaurant general manager myself, I understood the issues she faced with our order and struggles with a kitchen that was clearly not effectively supporting its floor but it was sad that not once did a manager come by to check on us, be seen on the floor, or apologize for the experience. The server was excellent and did everything she could to satisfy us but I do feel the managers Job was to follow up with us/explain as things were happening and then coach as needed so no one else had same experience, but that never happened. We even waited around at the table for a bit and didn’t leave til after 430, but no one ever came or was seen- only our server. Even when we had trouble on the kiosk that wouldn’t work- still no manager came.. having to wait over an hour for the food i did order and never having had appetizers made was just disappointing. I had not been to this location in several years due to poor service in the past, and it’s sad to see the trend hasn’t changed so I guess I won’t be going back to this location again as much as I love the food and as close to my home as it is, I’ll drive to Slidell or...
Read moreI typically eat at Olive Garden once a week and this so happen to be the day. This was by far the worst Olive Garden I’ve ever been to. We made it to our table at 6:20 and not one waiter m/waitress stopped to ask us for drinks nor food until 6:45. Seven waiters by passed us and not once asked if we’ve been served. Once the waitress arrived she took our order and went to service tables that came in after us. Although we placed our order right when the waitress came, she came back 10 minutes later stating she has to put our order in. We received bread with no plates 10 minutes before our drinks! How can you eat garlic bread (love the bread) with nothing to drink? We had to ask for everything. Other tables similar to size or larger that came 20-30 minutes after us received their salads and meals before our table. The manager went to every table except ours. The waitress kept saying service was a bit slow but all the tables around kept receiving their entrees. We ended up requesting a second bowl of salad for the wait, and it took 15 minutes to receive it. We did not get our entrees until 7:55. Even when Olive Garden had long waits, I’ve never waited that long to receive an entree! All we had was the traditional spaghetti, never ending soup and salad, and shrimp carbonara! Imagine requesting the never ending pasta bowl and not being able to receive the second request because our waitress service was delayed, but other waiters/waitresses were on point with everything!!! It took us 30 minutes to receive the Italian doughnuts and we placed the order 25 minutes before leaving!!! The worst...

I ordered the carbonara with chicken and shrimp. Asked the waitress to make sure the bacon wasn't burnt. Instead of making sure it wasn't burnt, Mary the waitress rang the order up without bacon. I asked Mary if it's maybe a Bacon sauce rather than actual pieces. She said yes, rather than admitting it was supposed to have bacon, or checking what she rang up. I found out when paying the bill she held the bacon i wanted. I was done i refused her going to get the bacon because i didn't want to wait, or get burnt bacon, and i was done with the gaslighting.
I also think I got ripped off with the wine because she bought a half glass that i questioned, then she filled the glass more. She bought no carafe of wine in addition to the glass of wine. Last time I got the glass and a half i was bought a glass of wine and a carafe full of wine. Mary told me it has either changed or this is the way she was trained.
Mary said she was having a bad day and spilled water on the previous guest. Perhaps she needs a day off.
As for the food, the entire dish was bland, missing key ingredients, the mushrooms were undercooked, and no amount of salt helped. Also, i know inflation sucks right now, but the lack of sauce was disappointing. The gnocchi soup was the only good thing.
I don't like being gaslit, so i...
