I stopped by to check this place out and ordered fried rice, lo mien, sweet n sour chicken, bourbon chicken, peppered chicken and coconut shrimp. They give a lot for the price so that's a plus! The fried rice was pleasantly "light" tasting and not heavy with the burnt oil like taste that a lot of Chinese restaurants have. It has a hint of sesame oil so most people might think it's bland. The entrees usually have some kind of sauce so if you pour that over your rice it's pretty good. The lo mein was okay I'd like it to have a little bit more vegetables. The bourbon chicken was good but I liked the peppered chicken better. That was delicious. The sweet n sour chicken was good too but it's the same to me like at any Chinese restaurant. There's nothing more or less that made it better or worse. The coconut shrimp was delicious! My only complaint about that is I wish they didn't mix it in with the sauce because the fried shrimp isn't very crispy anymore. So it can get kinda soft to soggy depending on how long it sits. The restaurant was busy when I went so it felt a little warm inside. They should probably put the ac on for diners sitting inside and eating. All in all I'd definitely come back. Quick and...
Read moreThis is tragedy in its purest form. A dream so delicately built, only to be shattered upon the cold, unforgiving reality of a sushi burrito-less existence. Kaitlyn Green had waited, clung to hope, envisioned the glorious first bite of a fusion masterpiece—only to be betrayed. The betrayal didn’t stop there, oh no it didn’t. Forced to settle, she chose the shrimp hibachi, a meal that should have redeemed the night. But no, fate was cruel. The dish before her was not the vibrant, umami-packed feast of her dreams but a soulless imitation—flavors dulled, textures uninspired, an experience that screamed midwestern potluck interpretation of culture. It tasted as if a suburban white mother had “Asian night”. Do you enjoy crushing dreams, Chiostick express? Do you enjoy watching others suffer? To make it worse, the miso soup tasted as if a flavorless mound of depression flooded my senses. The watered down, plethora of grief was too much for me to handle. Why? Why have you forsaken me chopstick express? The only solace? The tea. A single beacon of light in an otherwise dark, flavorless abyss. But was it enough? Could mere liquid warmth mend a broken dream? No, Chopstick Express. Kaitlyn Green will not...
Read moreMy drive-thru experience was terrible. There's no way this place will make it if this is how they run things at open. I waited 17 minutes in the drive-thru with only two cars in front of me. There were no cars parked for inside dining when I got there...eventually two cars pulled out from behind me in the drive-thru and went inside. Ordered shrimp and they didn't have it. Said it would take a "couple hours" to prepare...huh?
So I ordered 3 different chicken entrees and some crab rangoon. I opened the box at a red light two minutes after picking it up. Every single thing (chicken, noodles, rangoon) was dried out and barely warm to the touch. You'd at least expect hot and fresh food after waiting 20 minutes. Management needs to work on turning food over and certainly not serve food that most likely sat under a heat lamp for at least 3 hours... to a point it got so overcooked they seemingly removed it and let it sit at room temp to stop overcooking. I wouldn't be surprised if it was microwaved it was so bad.
Very disappointing...
