On November 17th I did a good deed for my cousin whom is pregnant and on bed rest. I took her items in for sell at the Crest Hill location on Plainfield Rd. I checked items in left the store drove 5mins away and received a text. I was like wow that was fast did they even view the items. I went back in and was told these items are nice but they wouldn't sale and the shoes were a size to big for what they sale 🤔. I brought in new plus size items with tags and items that were worn once they style was 2016 & 2017 name brand nice quailty items. The lady placed the bin on the counter I looked and all the items were just thrown back inside.I said why are the items like this she just looked. I took the items and neatly placed them the way I had them when I dropped them off. The shoes were in plastic this way they didn't receive scuff marks. It would have been nice to have items returned the way they were we received. I took a look around the store and notice over packed racks of clothes that looked out of stlye. The shoes were stacked on top of one another some had dust on them. Most of what I observed in this store is not Great quality clothes and shoes for the prices they are asking for them was not worth the price; most items should have just been donated to good will. Clothes Mentor advertise that they have and only accept Name Brand high quality items. This store in Crest Hill does not meet that standard. This store needs a new manager who will come in and...
Read moreI brought clothes in yesterday to see if they wanted to buy anything. They were all folded nicely in a basket, and I had shoes in a separate container. It took them about an hour before I got a message that my stuff was ready (which was not a problem) but the person who signed my things in and when I went to pick up had no personality, looked like she did not want to be there. Then I got my offer of $15, for a few clothing items, and 2 pairs of shoes. Some of my items were just wadded up in a mess in my basket, and otheres were still neatly folded (so they didn't go thru all of the items, including the shoes, and said they don't take sleep wear (I did not bring in sleep wear.) and some of the items don't sell or are not a high demand. First of all most were shirts for layering, and cardigans, a few of them still had tags on them that were new. And a few workout items. They had the same stuff in the store and some. This is the 2nd or 3rd bad experience I had there. Three strikes, I am done. Don't waste your time going there. They will low ball you on your items, and I believe they only take things they like, and not focus on what...
Read moreI brought some clothes and shoes, some never worn. That was the first time I was trying to sell some clothes. They started to tell me it would take 45mns, so I could come back later. Since I came from 20mi away and had nothing else to do in the area, I stayed around. Obviously that was not what they expected!! They told me another couple of times it would take longer (obviously trying to get me go away!!) while all the girls around were just chatting or on their cellphones!! After I waited for almost 1h30mn, they told me they were not interested in my clothes without even really having a look at them!! According to them they were "too vintage" while they had pretty much the exact same clothes hanging a few feet away with a sign saying "Autumn Trending"!! So why the fact that I stay around seemed to bother them so much up to the point that they refused my clothes??!! The second I walked into that store, I had a weird feeling. My five cents: Make sure you take a picture and have a list of every single clothes you bring if you go away and come...
