I go here all the time for my Asian-related grocery shopping needs! This store also does have a live seafood tank where you can pick the fish/crab/lobster you like and they have services where you can have them clean, cut, and cook it for you.
If you are a strict vegan/vegetarian just steer clear from the back and the left most side (when facing the store) because those areas will be where the seafood, meat, and foodcourt department of the store. They also have a bakery but almost all baked goods have egg or dairy in it. The produce section will be on the right side of the store upon entering.
If you are looking for more exotic, asian fruits and vegetables this will likely be the place to find them. They have durian (whole frozen and the seedless which I found in the refrigerated area just one aisle after the produce area), star fruit, rambutan, and a decent variety of mushrooms which are less expensive than buying it from WholeFoods!!
They also have a whole aisle for home and kitchen ware, most of them are quite expensive though but if you are looking for some asian inspired cookware then you'll find them here. Also, if you buy any packed goods/canned goods make sure you check for the expiration date because I have bought noodles here before which were already expired.
Upon checkout, they might also be giving you a coupon (dollar discount) from their bakery when you meet a certain...

I understand we're in times of high inflation, especially with gas prices pushing $6/Gal, but I can't believe the prices I'm seeing inside the store these days. I feel that this is bordering price gauging, especially if you compare it to its Asian supermarket counterpart, Hankook Market just down Wolfe Rd on El Camino whose prices are so much more reasonable. Take tofu for example, you can't find any under $1.50, whereas you can find many varieties
Read morePrices are getting ridiculously high these days, but their Deli department where you can pay with grocery coupons are pretty good, especially the BBQ ducks & soy chickens. A bunch of green onion is now nearly $2❗❗❗🙄🙄🙄🙄
They do have a good selection of Asian fresh produce from A-Tsoi (A菜), Bok Choy, and Chinese Gailan (芥蘭), sometimes if you're patient & opportunistic, you can get them on huge sales, Gailan a few weeks ago was on sales for $1.49/lb, instead of regularly $2.99/lb or more.
Also got nice selection of seafoods I'm the back of the store, but again, wait t them in sales, else they can really be pricey.
The bakery stuff is just Meh Meh🙄🙄🙄 Not their strong suit, go to other Chinese or Asian bakeries, you get better stuff.
It's sad that this used to be my go-to Asian grocery store, due to the constantly insane rising prices, I have discovered that Hankook Market (not far from Ranch 99, about ~1 mile down Wolfe & then El Camino), their prices are so much better & also have more weekly discount items. For example, Ranch 99 tofus we're in sales for $1.58 a 14-oz pack, similar tofus are available at Hancock no more than $1.29 EVERYDAY! (See photo taken at Hankook...
