I recently visited Shengkee bakery, which was my first time visiting and will be my last time here. I'm disappointed to report an unfortunate incident that occurred during my visit. As a person with a service dog, I rely on my loyal companion for assistance with my daily activities. However, upon entering the bakery, the business owner denied me entry with my service dog, despite it being illegal to do so.
It's disheartening to encounter such discrimination and disregard for the rights of individuals with disabilities. Service dogs play a crucial role in providing assistance and support, and denying their entry not only violates the federal law but also perpetuates a climate of exclusion and inequality.
I would like to remind the management of this bakery shop that under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), businesses are required to grant access to individuals with service dogs. This law exists to protect the rights of people with disabilities and ensure equal access to public places.
I hope that this incident serves as an opportunity for the business owner and staff to educate themselves about the rights of individuals with service dogs and the importance of inclusivity. It is my sincere hope that they take the necessary steps to rectify this situation, such as providing proper training to their employees regarding ADA regulations.
I encourage anyone who has had a similar experience to report it to the appropriate authorities, such as the local disability rights organization or the Department of Justice. It's essential to hold businesses accountable for their actions and work towards creating a more inclusive and...
Read moreVery disappointed for this Sheng Kee Location.
I shopped in Sheng Kee a lot in Daly City location. And I love its food and service in Daly City Sheng Kee location.
Today, I traveled to Cupertino and want to buy some snack for tonight. Sheng Kee Cupertino is my first choice since I experienced so great in Daly City location.
However, I don’t know I buy too little stuff or whatever, the cashier no even ask me whether I want to get a bag or not. When she finished checking out, she walked away. I want to take a walk in this Cupertino plaza, so I need a bag to hold those two little pastries. Therefore, I need to stand here and wait for a staff to ask whether I could get a bag.
This is never happened in the Daly City location. I am very disappointed about this location service. I will never come back since there is a lot of bakery location in the South Bay Area with...

On the contrary, when I visited the San Francisco Bay Area this past July, I not only saw many Asian bakeries, I went to multiple Asian bakeries, including this one. I wasn't really sure what to expect when coming here, plus it was just a few minutes before closing, but I was impressed! I got for myself a slice of the marble cheesecake (I know, I probably got the one thing that was not really an ASIAN baked good). Anyway, there was a large selection to choose from and the staff were nice. The cheesecake was packaged beautifully and even though it didn't taste like your typical cheesecake, it...
