Disappointed with the Lack of Communication and Service

I called earlier in the week to ask if I could make a reservation for Sunday. I was told reservations weren’t necessary and that I could just walk in. I also asked if I could bring food and was told absolutely no outside food is allowed. I said okay, thank you, and made plans based on that information.

My cousin arrived on Sunday, May 4th, and was told that gifts aren’t allowed inside and that cakes are only allowed if you’ve reserved a party room—something I was never told. I didn’t have a room reserved because I was told it wasn’t needed.

To double-check, I had my sister call the same day, and she was told the exact same thing I was told earlier in the week—no reservations needed, walk-in only.

I paid for two hours for the younger kids in my group and asked to speak with a manager, who wasn’t available. I explained the miscommunication and expressed my frustration that the staff should all be on the same page and give customers full, accurate information—especially when asking about reservations and what's allowed.

I was told they had a full kitchen, but once there, I found out they don’t sell cupcakes or cakes (again, only allowed if you have a reserved room). I tried to order two 16-inch pizzas but was told I could only get one because they ran out of cheese. That was unacceptable.

I then asked for a refund since they couldn’t properly accommodate us. The cashier acted unsure if a refund was possible, but I eventually received one. Still, no apology or effort was made to make things right.

This whole experience was very disappointing—especially since I discovered this place through TikTok and was looking...

Edit: I want to thank the manager, Shannon, for taking time to reach out to me personally to apologize and ensure me and my family of their policies and commitment to Safety. Shannon alleviated much of my concern for revisiting going forward, and embodied the experience we expected from this franchise. She also patiently listened to my account, and perspective on the situation, and shared her expectations for her staff and that any recurrent training or skills building would be addressed. Truly upstanding leadership that I commend.

Original: We brought my 14 month old as well as his cousins, who are 4 and 6. We left after 30 minutes. Horribly managed. They allowed all the big kids in the toddler area who were railroading over the little ones. It was wild. It was dangerous. I had to body block to save my child from being pummeled multiple times. We asked for them to control the area since it was stated that only those under 100cm, as well as wearing a rainbow wristband, are allowed to enter. They did nothing.

I will say, one employee was exceptionally apologetic and kindly checked on my little one; however the Supervisor refused to refund us, even though we were unable to take advantage of the service purchased. This is a wonderful indoor play place, and our son has been thoroughly enjoying it. It is clean, the staff is friendly, and they have snacks and drinks in the eating area. We had our sons birthday party there recently and they did such a wonderful job with setting it up, communication, and service during the party. The staff was great and the room looked perfect! I was a little surprised when we went to pay for the second half of the party payment and there was tipping and suggested AMT was 60-70. I have no problem with tipping, but we were not expecting it after paying almost $500 for the party already, which states that it included at services provided. Seems like all of that should be included in the total cost. It was already a lot for our family and we felt bad because we weren't prepared to also tip that much on top of the party fee because the staff really was so wonderful. I just recommend either including gratuity for staff for their time working parties or disclosing gratuity will an option from the beginning so people can prepare financially.
