If you are a POC or are Alternative steer clear of this store!!!!!!
Honestly would give this place 0 stars if I could. My significant other and I (both alt POC’s) were made to feel very uncomfortable. The profiling was very noticeable that even my mom felt it. One woman whom I assume to be the owner held my partners stuff upfront (yes my partner is half black), even though she didn’t do that with her other 5 white customers who had many different items. The older women who worked there proceeded to check on every other customer, talk to them politely, made them feel welcomed but was very cold towards us. Whatever though unfortunately we are used to this being Hispanic and black. But at one point I had to use the bathroom and they don’t have a public bathroom available, so my mom and I left real quick to find one while my girlfriend stayed and looked around. While I was gone the same lady who asked to hold her stuff checked her out and asked over and over “are you sure that’s all you have?” “Are you sure it’s just the shirt?” And followed her to the door repeating these questions. My partner felt so uncomfortable she waited in the rain till we came back to get her!! She felt more comfortable in the street, in the rain, in downtown Dallas! So my mom and I, already upset, felt like we needed to call and say something. Of course when she answered she was polite until confronted and said it was a misunderstanding, her empty apology consisted of “well sorry you felt that way” and “sorry that was YOUR experience.” She argued more than anything so we finally just hung up. Disappointed but not surprised. So yeah stay away if you are not cookie...

**Edit - ah, I'm sorry for leaving a shitty review - i left this original review just minutes after an employee (who was probably having a bad day) treated me kind of shitty. i actually like dolly python quite a bit as a local place in Dallas to look for/at some pretty unique things (i've been going to the location on Haskell since I was a kid)..... i also understand that surviving as a local business in todays economy SUCKS and a ton of work, so it was unfair of me to leave this original review on the entire business when I just had a tiny interaction with an employee who probably hasn't been working there long... however, like many people, i HATE it when people are rude or condescending, so maybe just an area for some of the team there to work on
again, I'm sorry for my initial review - i wish you and your business the best, and I will keep coming back to look around at...
Read moreDolly Python Vintage If you haven't shopped at Dolly Python Vintage in Dallas, Tx on N Haskell Ave you need to get there right away. It's the most fun I had in a long time. Gretchen, the owner is personable, customer focused and knowledgeable. I believe these are qualities this beauty young lady would have in any industry she was in. The staff at Dolly Python Vintage is warm and ready to help. I liked that they welcome the customers in.
