Everglade Park — Attraction in Dallas

This park is getting better and better every year and I am so grateful to our community leaders for everything they are doing for our community ❤ I have lived here for about 5 years now, it originally only had the play area for kids, the monarch pollinator station, basketball court, pool, and that was it. They've added the trail, landscaping, exercise equipment, garbage and recycling cans, dog cleanup stations, a sign stating park rules such as when it is open and closed, and probably more that I am missing! It has a lovely wildflower field in the spring full of bluebonnets as well as coneflowers. This year the monarch pollinator garden has had sooo many monarchs at it! It is also a great place to catch bugs if you are a serious or hobbyist entomologist, I also do this occassionally here. In October we have had loads of sulphur butterflies in the park! A great park just off of Jim Miller and I-30 in the Buckner Terrace neighborhood. It has all the amenities, swimming pool, covered picnic with a grill, and playground. It also has a basketball court and and softball field. Plenty of room to roam. It lacks a few trees but they have planted some more to add to the shade and no electricity. The Skyline library is right across the street from the park. So if you need a break from the summer heat, you can walk across the street to relax in air conditioned library and read a magazine or...

The city fixed it up and now it has a good walking track. Nice pool for the summer. You can have a good cookout but covered tables are limited so you must go early to claim one.
