Fire Chick — Restaurant in Dallas

I was excited to try this place out. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience.

First, I paid almost $20 for 3 plain tenders, seasoned fries, a side of coleslaw, and a couple sauces. That’s fine, I’m willing to pay for quality food from a local business. The cashier was friendly. I had to wait about 20 minutes for my food to come out. That’s a long time for chicken and fries but understandable, assuming the food is being made fresh to order. They brought the wrong food. Fine, it happens. Eventually they brought me the food I ordered although it was missing the sauces that I paid extra for, which they kindly provided. Took the food to go, ~9 minutes away.

I was willing to forgive the poor service, the oddly long wait, and high prices as long as the food was good. Unfortunately, the chicken and fries were not even warm. The chicken itself had little to no flavor and was clearly not cooked to order.

Pros: local business, decent serving sizes, friendly cashier, coleslaw and sauces were okay.

You must have to go on a certain day of the week to get the good wings. I went on Sunday October 21, 2024 and placed two 10 piece wing combos. The food was not fresh. I told the lady I wanted all my food fresh. I waited about 25 minutes for my food which was fine but they food they gave me tasted like old food they had sitting up. The fries were cold, hard, and had and overall old taste to them. I ask the young cashier lady was the food fresh she stated it was. I know old food when I taste it. None of the sauce of the wings stuck to the wings. Overall I thought I would have a great Experience compared to other reviews, but it was in fact the absolute worst expert and the young cashier lady didn’t seem to care. $16 per combo plate what a...

Rating is for the overall dine in experience. I was really excited to try this place out since it was close by and the pictures of the food look really good. I took the family and ordered bone in wings, tenders, and the sandwich. Unfortunately there was one issue that will prevent me from returning.

Pros: The customer service is great, food comes out fresh in about 15 minutes, fried to perfection, pretty good portions for the price.

Cons: It does cost a bit much but as mentioned the portions are pretty good for a local restaurant so I can overlook that. I can't overlook the lack of seasoning on the chicken and in the sauce. Also mac n cheese was a bit loose.
