My elderly mother had a scheduled routine eye exam with this location and asked to pay a bill of over $300+ before the exam even took place. My mother and father were confused as to why a large cost for a routine eye exam since insurance covers the cost. No clear explanation was given and my parents declined to pay out of confusion and informed me about this to help uncover this issue. I call this location 4 times over the past two day with no results. I was repeatedly told to call back and speak with billing. I did, speaking with the two different people and I also left two messages with no call back. All we were trying to find out what was the reason for the cost? They obviously gave me the runaround and simply fell short of providing good customer service. I am sure Dr. Linda is a great doctor but the staff fell short. Maybe they need to reflect on their Mission Statement or Business Model because with this lack of customer concern, they will turn away business like we are doing now. There are many other great doctors with good customer service even with low staffing. When I personally experience this kind of treatment (although rarely) I simply take my business elsewhere and go quietly. But, when this affects my elderly mother and father who require some reasonable courteousness, the line has been crossed. ...
Read moreI needed cataract surgery and had been referred to Dr. Burk by my regular doc. After reading the reviews, I was prepared to be met by rude office staff and techs. Well, I was wrong. At my initial visit everyone was polite and I got a smile or a laugh from all of them. The screening visit was long and sometimes the waiting time between tests was lengthy, but the "line" kept moving and lots of people got seen while I was there. When Dr. Burk came in to see me, she was very pleasant and professional and we talked about not just my eyes, but about my research in molecular biology! The next to last stop in the process was the scheduling person. She was not as pleasant as the other assistants, but I don't envy her job in trying to schedule so many patients in a restricted time. She wasn't actually rude, just not especially friendly. My surgeries went very well and the surgery center in North Dallas was wonderful. I am taking off one star for the first postop visit that I had to reschedule because the doctor was late coming back from teaching. Wouldn't have been an issue except that I don't have a car and have to schedule rides with a service. Thanks for the restored colors and acuity in my vision. I would definitely recommend Dr. Burk...
Read moreMy father went to see Dr. Burk on 12/17/20 and he arrived on time for a 2:15 pm appointment…..he was not out until after 5:30 pm. Over 3 hours……and the large waiting room was completely packed with patients. This office is NOT practicing social distancing one bit. He said the chairs were maybe 6" apart! There was not a single chair available, so my father opted to wait in a separate room. This quite ridiculous….! I read all the bad Google reviews prior to scheduling him and sooo many stated these same concerns regarding the extremely long waiting times and overbooking appointments…..but I was hopeful this would not be the case. Boy was I wrong….they are all true. After all of this ordeal, they were not able to provide much input for the issue he was having, prescribed some drops and sent him on his way…..oh they wanted to see him back in a month.
