When I saw this place open I was excited that there would finally be an Indian restaurant in my neighborhood. There have been no Indian restaurants in oak cliff for too long. I had built it up in my head a lot for all the possibilities. It did not disappoint. The ambience and decor was so fun and felt cool. I am pretty sure some of the stuff they brought from India like the doors and other pieces that adorned the ceilings and walls. The service that Nayeli gave made us feel so welcome and encouraging. Now to the actual food and drinks. We got the lamb samosas and tandoori momos to start. I had never had a lamb samosa before and the spices and chutneys were amazing. The momos were such an amazing surprise packed with flavor and the sauce they had been tossed in was perfect. We got the tamarind margarita and pista martini. The tamarind margarita had a good spice level with a sweet tang. The pista martini was like a dessert in a glass. For dinner we got salmon molee and mango chicken with paratha and rice. Being malayalee I have not had a good fish molee outside of my moms house and it did not disappoint. The sauce it was sitting in was not too spicy but as we continued to eat the spice level built and built and it was everything I wanted it to be. The mango chicken was sweet and flavorful. We loved the contrast it gave with the fish molee. For dessert we had the kheer and rasmaila and put those down with mango lassee and masala chai. These were the best kheer and rasmaila I have ever had. They were clearly homemade and I would not change one thing about them. The mango lassee was such a delightful nostalgic experience. The masala chai tasted perfect but really the presentation of it was incredible in such a beautiful tea set.

- [ ] The halwa is sooo good!l, not too sweet, just perfectly sweet and floral (the cardamom i’m assuming). - [ ] The chole was mid, not bad but i’ve made and had better. I added some cayenne and it made it a little better. - [ ] The naan was so tasty, tasted fresh ✨. - [ ] The butter chicken was amazing!! Definitely recommend, and the rice was cooked perfectly too, what else would you expect from an indian place?!❤️‍🔥 - [ ] The samosas are perfectly seasoned and so soft and crisp, great appetizers! - [ ] I think the sizes to-go are small. I’m hoping the ones for dine in are a bit bigger but i also know it’s probably not as much because of the tariffs going on so keep that in mind please. - [ ] Super happy there’s finally an Indian place in Oak Cliff!!

Elephant Indian Bar and Grill was such a gem in Dallas! The waiters were incredible; they were super attentive and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The ambience was fun and inviting, perfect for enjoying a dinner with friends or family. The food was seriously amazing. The butter masala was rich and flavorful, the raita was refreshing, and the coconut chicken was packed with taste. To top it off, they gave us rice pudding to try and it was sooo aromatic and delicious. Everything was decently priced too, which made it even better. If I’m ever back in Dallas, this will definitely be a must-visit again!

We were so excited to see this location open since we are big fans of the 75 expressway location, and eat there regularly. I have to admit we were a little disappointed, we were expecting the food to be comparable, but the prices are higher, the portions are smaller, and to be quite honest, the food wasn't as good. I love the lamb chops that we have at the 75 expressway location, I ordered them here, they were cooked differently, and there was hardly any meat. The chicken tiki was dry, and while I would definitely go back, hoping that this is opening pains, and getting their rhythm sorted out, I almost feel like I'll continue to go to the 75 expressway location since it's cheaper, and the...
