Update: My family, friends and I have had another great year enjoying all of delicious baked treats at Kessler baking studio. If you don't know, Kessler has the BEST cinnamon rolls in DFW. They also do rotating flavors every quarter. The pecan sticky bun cinnamon rolls are my favorite rotation, and maybe my favorite pastry of all time and they return in October. This quarter the blueberry cinnamon rolls knocked my socks off, closed 2nd and and tied with the OG cinnamon roll. The honey glazed is also delicious if you want to take a break from cream cheese icing. The morning buns are also the best damn croissant pastry I have had this year. Banana bread is also a must, so buttery and banana-y, very moist. The brownies and cookies are 2nd to none. My favorite cookie is the Oak ranger. I love the balance of the oats, butter, and chocolate and coconut, moist and chewy heaven. Everything is delicious and well balanced.
In the last year we also met some pretty great additions to the Kessler family. Just GREAT people! And Great food. Best local business going and a gem. Thank you Kessler! 😃
Update: Another fantastic outing to Kessler. The cinnamon rolls were delicious (as usual) - can't get enough of them, but the Banana Nut bread was the sleeper hit. I enjoyed the banana nut bread in prior trips, but this one was next level good. I will be thinking about it until next Saturday. The staff are always so nice too. Really good baked good, and really good people.
2nd consecutive Saturday trip to Kessler was a success. Cinnamon rolls Saturdays are my favorite day of the week. Best cinnamon rolls in town. We also tried the banana nut bread and it was delicious. Great crumb, great flavor. Last weekend we tried the toffee chocolate cookie and brownie - simply delicious. Staff is super nice. My favorite...
Read moreI was visiting Dallas for my birthday and I wanted to find some place to enjoy a sweet treat when I came across Kessler Baking Studio on Google Maps. I was skeptical because how could a place have a nearly perfect 5 star rating over several hundred reviews? It seems almost impossible but it was a good enough sign that I knew I wanted to check it out.
After my visit I am able to understand the overall rating and I agree that this place is worthy of 5 stars since we can't give 10. As soon as we walked in we were immediately greeted by a kind gentleman who asked if it was our first time in the store. Because it was our first visit he took the time to explain the cookies, brownies, blondies and other sweet treats that he had available. He told us about the ingredients and the flavor profiles, taking care to explain what sets his bakery apart in terms of taste and quality and the descriptions made it nearly impossible to choose. I told myself I would choose 1 item but after seeing, smelling and hearing all about the offerings I knew I couldn't settle for just one. We would be taking some home for later as well.
The other reviews go in to great detail about how delicious the treats are here. I second all of that and I wanted to add that the oatmeal cream pie that we had was so incredible that I couldn't stop myself from finishing it in one sitting. It's rare that I eat something so amazing that I can't moderate it but these oatmeal cream pies were something else entirely. I've got a big sweet tooth and have been to many bakeries but this takes the top spot, bar none.
Believe the hype, believe the reviews and go see for yourself. I think you'll return here to agree with the rest of us. This is the best of the best, an elite class of bakery that is miles apart from most others...

Let me go ahead and say this, if Kessler Baking Studio were any closer to me in Aubrey, it would be a real problem. Dangerous even. For the last six years, this has been my go-to bakery. And when I go, I stock up like I’m preparing for a dessert apocalypse, and I have no regrets.
There are a few non-negotiables every time I visit: • The strawberry Rice Krispie treat (don’t play yourself this isn’t your childhood snack, this is a grown-up, gourmet dream), • The white chocolate macadamia nut blonde brownie (sweet, buttery perfection with that just-right chew), • And the sugar cookie with sprinkles (a classic done RIGHT soft, buttery, and bright with just the right crunch from those sprinkles).
You can truly taste the quality of the ingredients. There’s nothing phoned in here. Everything feels like it was made with care, intention, and a little bit of magic.
Honorable mention to the sweet & spicy pecans, a staple in my house. I toss them on arugula salads, sprinkle them into banana bread, or just eat them by the handful. They’re that good.
What makes the experience even better is the energy of the place. Clyde, the owner, is a gem. A true artisan with a passion for his craft, and it shows in every bite. His team? Absolutely stellar, friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly committed to making every visit feel like a treat (pun intended).
Kessler Baking Studio is also my secret weapon for holiday gifts. One beautifully wrapped box from here and people think you’ve been in the kitchen all day. They’re always a hit.
Bottom line: this place is special. Worth the drive, worth the calories, and worth every...
