I am a Baby Lock gal and am so happy I found such a great Dealer and repair shop in Dallas! Antonio and Stephanie have been wonderful to work with. I've purchased several machines (sewing, embroidery, serger) from them and their friendly service has been refreshing. I also purchased a suite of sewing room furniture from them and Antonio and crew came out a couple of times to get it set up...upstairs nonetheless!
I feel confident Antonio knows what he is doing, repair-wise. After getting to know him...it is obvious he has a talent for working on motorized things as well as a great desire to do a good job and make his customers happy. He truly CARES about what he's doing as well as his customers. His wife Stephanie, runs their retail store (Urban Spools). Poor guys...don't have much time for anything else but work, so it's a good thing they love it! Ha!
I use them for annual maintenance and a couple of repairs (caused by me) and all that has gone smoothly. I have to get them to pickup and deliver my 10-needle since it's so dang heavy and it's just me, and Antonio has taken care of me as far as that goes.
I'd like to add...I grew up in a retail family, so understand the blood, sweat and tears it takes to run your own business. It's a lot more challenging these days with so many consumers buying online. I do my share of that, but nothing beats walking into a store where the staff, and/or owners, greet you by name with a smile and go out of their way to ensure you are taken care of. I don't necessarily need that, mind you, but that kind of service is rare. With sewing machines...I strongly encourage purchasers to buy from a brick and mortar store vs. online...the personal touch and service when there is an issue with the machine is A LOT more valuable than saving a few bucks on the initial purchase...not to mention...you can be assured, you are supporting a local business...
Read moreI am incredibly pleased with these guys and will be going back for all of my sewing needs from now on.
I took my Juki in because it would no longer run a stitch and as soon as I came around the corner carrying it a girl came up and took it off my hands to a table so I wouldn't have to carry that heavy SOB anymore.
They did the diagnostic by the next day. Through no fault of theirs the machine needed to be sent back to Juki for the repair and would have been costly, so when I went to pick it up from them I decided to buy a new sewing machine.
They called Antonio in for me because he was the best person to answer my questions and he was there within a handful of minutes. I did not feel pressured by anyone at any point when it came to buying and I never felt like they were just trying to make a sale. They actually cared that I'd be getting the best machine to suit my needs (and my wallet) and let me demo it with the exact kind of fabric I would be using later at home.
The new Baby Lock machine I brought home runs like an absolute dream and blows my old machine out of the water, not to mention since I bought it through them they'll give me free support and diagnostics if I ever have an issue with it.
These guys will seriously treat you right and care about your needs. The service was amazing. I'd give them 10...
Read moreVery seldom do I encounter a business owner or employee that will talk me out of buying something. A year ago, I bought a used serger and sewing machine from here. Has worked great. But I put some stretchy thread in my serger and I couldn't get it to sew properly. I was ready to drop money on a new machine. They checked mine out. At NO cost because I purchased it from them.. Even though it was over a year ago. Even though it was used when I purchased it. They walked me through the problem and showed me what I was doing wrong. Yea, I bought a few things while I was there. You bet I did. Was the least I could do for such great service and consideration. They have a large selection of thread and colors. They will give the straight info. He could have sold me on a serger. He not only talked me out of it but he talked me out of purchasing one from anywhere. Mine is about as good as you can get without spending thousands. Thanks guys. I appreciate the honesty. You can bet I will only be shopping my sewing machine...
