🍑 The Peach Cobbler Factory 🏭
🤤 Do you ever have an itch for a sugar rush AND peaches? Well, this place is basically the back-scratcher for both! Just know that getting there is a little like navigating a construction site obstacle course with a level of parking anxiety that could rival rush hour in New York City. No wonder most of the orders were flying out the door via food delivery apps while I stood there pretending I had any patience.
I went bold and ordered the cinnamon peach praline cobbler—no ice cream because I'm classy (also, lactose intolerance). The guy at the counter practically lit up like a Christmas tree when I ordered it, telling me it's his personal favorite, and I gotta say, it did not disappoint. The flaky, savory crust had all the cobbler magic, and the peach filling didn’t hide in the background like a shy middle-schooler at a dance. However, the praline? Oh, the praline came in hot, bold, and as overpowering as a guest at a dinner party who won't stop talking about crypto. But hey, if you like your praline with a side of cobbler, you're in luck! Cinnamon? Nailed it.
The space? Massive. There's so much seating, I briefly considered hosting a family reunion there. And for all you Instagram aficionados, there are more photo ops than an influencer’s dream—at least three different spots ready for your best "just casually eating cobbler" shot. The staff? Friendlier than your grandma after two glasses of wine.
Now, the downside? It was a bit chilly inside. I guess they’re trying to keep the cobbler from melting, but at one point I considered eating mine while wearing mittens. The entrance? A little awkward. And while they do take Apple Pay, the process had a hiccup that left me wondering if I was being secretly punked. But these are minor details, and honestly, I’m just looking for flaws at this point because I don't have much bad to say.
Go here if you want cobbler that slaps harder than a Sunday...
Read moreI'm so disappointed that my first and possibly now only experience with this place was a bad one. My boyfriend and I were nearby last Saturday at a show in Deep Ellum and decided to get something sweet to go on the way home. The girl who took my order was a bit condescending and so that put me off once I got the food. I had let the girl at the counter know that it was my first time there and so she pointed to the menu on the counter beside her and ran through what they offered (cobblers, puddings, shakes, etc.) The interaction was basically her asking if we wanted the ice cream with the 2 cobblers we ordered. I had said yes but if I could get the ice cream on the side. She had replied like she was annoyed and said "We serve all our cobblers hot so we're going to put the ice cream on the side so it doesn't melt, we don't put it on top..." but the way and tone she said it in was that of, I should already know this information even though I let her know that it was my first time there. So I wouldn't know if it came with the ice cream on top or not. Anyway, we got a peach cobbler and a cherry cobbler to go. The peach cobbler tasted like those cobblers you can buy at the grocery store that come frozen that you stick in the oven to bake. That in itself isn't bad. The taste is tried and true and familiar. Not sure about the cherry cobbler as we got that for someone else. The ice cream had a weird mouth feel because it was grainy but it did taste like it had a lot of sugar in it so maybe that's what caused the weird mouth feel? I'm not sure if they make their ice cream in house. I had such high hopes for this place because I always saw it come across on my uber eats and always...
