This place is just fantastic and I feel lucky that I live close enough to go here whenever I want.
First of all they have some of the best pizza in town. Its just as good as Cane Rosso or Olivellas and its made in a brick oven right there in the market. It only takes them about 10 min and its priced great for gourmet pizza. The crust is amazing and the cheese (from the local cheese makers Dallas Mozzarella Company) is fantastic. My step son asks to get Main Street Market pizza every time he comes to town. It is that special.
Second they have everything you need like fresh sandwiches tacos, cereal, simple groceries, wine, beer, fancy waters, and much more.
Third their service is fantastic! Massimo has always been helpful and there are several other gentlemen and ladies who work there who are always friendly and helpful too. Most recently I met Maddy there who even remembered and inquired about how my wife enjoyed ed her birthday. They are helpful and polite to everyone who comes in.
So I love it here at Main Street Market. Thank...
Read moreI REALLY wanted to give this place 5 stars, but I tried the food for the first time yesterday and it wasn't a slam dunk. I ordered the chicken burrito and the beef taco.
The good: The chicken, and the beef. Good taste and good portion size. That's the important stuff, so we got a good foundation.
The bad: taco needed salsa or something. Nothing major. The burrito was kind of a mess, taste-wise. They put green peppers in it - no, not jalapenos, actual green peppers. That definitely threw off the flavor. They also added in lettuce, which I love the idea of, but it was wilted and gave the burrito a wilted-lettuce flavor. Last thing is the sour cream (?) they used - not sure if that was sour cream or if it had some mayonnaise in it or what.
I think if they took out the green peppers & lettuce, and instead added beans (refried or whole), it would be a solid burrito. Maybe the lettuce/tomato/sour cream on the side as a garnish to keep the cold stuff separate from the hot stuff.
Will be back to try their pizza though! I've heard it's...
Read moreGood food, but the store itself hasn't had a working AC anytime that I have come in all summer. I feel so bad for the workers that are working in such harsh heat. They have a pizza oven too so I cannot imagine how unbearable that is. Food is delicious but rating this 1 star as an all around business because no employees should be working without an air conditioner all summer in Texas. It's difficult to breathe in there, much less be consistently working and moving like they always are. I would advise they all collectively strike together until the owner or owners give the bare minimum of A/C. I typically wait next door or even sit in my car when waiting for my order due to the heat. This has been...
