JW Pastry — Restaurant in Davie

I found JW pastry through google and was surprised to see their 5 star reviews. And google did not disappoint! We ordered my Mom’s 75th birthday with short notice and Chef John was kind and considerate to oblige. I shared to him my ideas of how they cake would be and how I wanted to taste and then I trusted that he would deliver. And he did, exceptionally! Everyone who saw the cake were so impressed and they thought it was a wedding cake! I bought the cake topper separately and he placed fresh roses with glitters on top. It looked fantastic! But the taste! It was not sweet which I loved, it was delectable and savory, and I think everyone wanted seconds and it was definitely gone! I was glad my mother saved some piece and I got to taste it again the next day and it was still moist and so good even the next day. Before getting the cake we also stopped by the cafe and we had the almond croissant and mushroom quiche, and they were also phenomenal. The staff were also very kind and helpful. Beatrice was the one helping me throughout the process with the cake and she’s been very responsive, helpful and accommodating. I definitely highly recommend them! Jonathan is fantastic, creative, professional and amazing. We used JW Pastries (Jonathan) for our wedding venue and he and his artisan desserts were the talk of our wedding. First of all Jonathan made our wedding cake and it was the best cake we have ever had in our lives. In addition his macaroons, cream brûlée’s, tiramisu, chocolate boxes, cream puff pastries & cheesecake are the best, EVER! There are no words to describe the presentation, taste and unique service. Jonathan was on site wowing our guests with a unique twist on filling puff pastries with fresh cream and & firing up the cream brûlée’s & adding ice cream for all guests. We have had so many compliments. In addition he made morning breakfast for our guests which included a fresh cheese & guava danish to take home. Our guests were wowed. I’ll start off by saying I’m a bit upset I didn’t know about this place sooner. I had ordered a pizza (Caprese I believe), blue berry muffin and the bread pudding.

Everything was excellent 10/10. The pizza was delicious, crispy, fluffy, perfect amount of sauce and tomatoes to moisten the bread a little. Chef Hans heated it up for us and it was amazing.

The blueberry muffin was definitely fresh, with a caramelized sugar crispy top and soft fluffy bottom packed with blueberry.

The bread pudding is the best bread pudding I have ever had, the top has some chunks of sweet high quality chocolate chunks and some peanuts to give it a nice texture, and it comes with a lightly sweet white sauce to moisten the bottom layer to make a perfect bite.

Everything was a 10 out of 10, nothing could had made any of the items better.

They change the flavors of their pizza every week so I’ll definitely be trying the new flavors and their breakfast...
