Downtown Used Furniture — Attraction in Daytona Beach

My elderly parents, who are not white, were treated like dirt by the people at this store. I actually reprimanded them for even going to place with such bad reviews. They placed a hold on a piece of furniture and returned the next day saying they had a change of heart. They got a DISCOUNTED STORE CREDIT, the owners shaved off $80 for a restocking fee when the item NEVER LEFT THE STORE, talk about crooked thiefs!!! The items they did schedule for delivery were arriving on a day with heavy rain. My mom called the driver asking for the delivery to be delayed by a few hours until the rain stopped. The driver agreed, WILLINGLY. Later my parents got a NASTY CALL from a women saying WE DONT WORK FOR YOU AND YOU'RE NOT GETTING YOUR ITMES. Who then do you work for lady, it's called customer service which you apparently don't know a thing about!!! Then my parents got a call from a NASTY MAN, saying don't come back to my store! Did he really think two elderly people would ever Subject themselves to this kind of treatment. How they stay in business is beyond me, maybe it's any ALL CASH...

I bought 2 night stands, dining buffet set, bed, dining table, side table, basically furnished my home. I also bought a sofa bed and was told the mattress was in great shape. Since I bought so much from them over the year, I trusted them. Holidays are here and I opened the sofa bed to get ready for guests and the mattress is disgusting! Burn marks, huge stains...I wouldn't put my dog on it. I called to ask if they would take the sofa bed back, not asking for my money back. It would cost me more to buy a new mattress than the total cost of the sofa bed. I was met by a rude, defensive man stating that they do not "switch out". I tried to say I wasn't accusing him of that, but he said, no...I don't want it back. So much for standing by the furniture they sell which is "good, clean" furniture. I just wanted it out...

Buyers Beware. We bought a leather couch from Downtown Used Furniture for $540. Got it home and noticed a smell like old man cologne. I took my leather cleaner spray to clean it, hoping to remove the smell. On the arms and cushions started to reveal that someone had tried to cover up the worn parts of the leather with some sort of dye (see pictures). We called them and all that we got was “maybe you or the previous owner did it”. They would not take it back or even give us a store credit. We wrote the BBB and Downtown Used Furniture did not respond to them. Very deceitful! We will not be...
