Bryant Branch Library — Attraction in Dearborn

Extremely uncomfortable experience here. It is a good place to study and most of the staff is extremely friendly, however the security guard who works here has a very aggressive demeanor and I felt harassed by him during my time there. Any movement I made (quietly and respectful of the code of conduct) was scrutinized by him and he was very rude. I was talking a low volume to my colleague over Zoom and he insisted I was breaking the code of conduct. I'm not sure if it is because I am a young female and he was generalizing that I may be disruptive but he was extremely fixated on anything I did. EXTREMELY disappointing that this library cannot be a comfortable resource for residents to finish their work during a pandemic when it is very hard to find a safe, comfortable atmosphere...

A small and charming library in the heart of Westborn. While seating is comfortable, they don't have ergonomic chairs so keep that in mind if you plan on spending a lot of time there. The place has a cozy ambiance with two fireplaces (non-operating), couches, rich wooden wall panels, and a pendulum clock with a pleasant hourly chime. A quite place to study but it's this way because the staff member on the cameras watches the library like a hawk looking for any reason to tell its patrons something their doing is wrong.
