I dislike irrelevant reviews. When people say stuff like, “This dress is so cute!” I’m always wondering: What size are you? What size did you order? How does the material feel? Anyhoo, the customer service was 5 star. I went for an inspection on brakes and my engine. The service representative, Brigette stated that my brakes could have air in the lines. She stated that was common. After her tech looked at my vehicle, she confirmed the brakes themselves are fine, they just need to be bled. Since I made an appointment for the Quik Lane instead of major repairs, they didn’t have time to inspect my engine. I left my car for the brakes to be bled. They sent me home in a Lyft. I left happy. By the time I could get home, Brigette had texted that I needed brake booster and it would cost $1225. They also quoted me new tires for $1200. After consulting with my dad and doing my own research (Reddit), it seemed to be a typical price. However, Brigette could not answer how it went from brake bleeding to a brake booster. Her response, “ The brake fluid is very very dirty and flushing that system in addition to the booster should be our solution :)” That didn’t answer the question, in my opinion. I went back the next day to get my car, which was a Saturday and the guy called Brigette on speaker as if I needed permission. She sounded puzzled and gave me the impression that I had to convince her why I should leave with my car. Short story long, I got my brake booster repaired along with front brakes and rotors for $735. I cannot understand for the life of me why people go to dealerships. I think if it’s not under warranty, it must be a status thing. Also, when I got my car back, the speedometer wasn’t registering accurately. Brigette said nothing they did would cause that. I asked for a manager. He called me and he was extremely pleasant and professional. By then, it was...
Read moreI am very disappointed with the car buying experience that I recently had a Village Ford. I visited four different Ford Dealerships. All except for one came across like they do not like informed customers. It was as if I should know everything about the vehicle and pretty much sell the vehicle to myself.
On multiple occasions at Village Ford I was told that “I have never been asked these questions before”. As if I should not want to be informed about a purchase of this size. (To understand the differences between two different model vehicles so I can make an informed decision. To understand the pricing, fees and taxes being charged. To verify if options that I purchased were installed before I come in to pick up the vehicle.)
I found my Sales Representative and the Sales Manager to be rude. I waited 4 months for my vehicle to be delivered, with little to no status updates, but the Sales Representative harassed me to-no-end to pick the vehicle within 4 days, to meet month end and before his vacation started.
The Sales Representative’s calls, text messages and pushy tone got so bad that I told him on multiple occasions that I felt rushed. Then finally I had to tell him that “no customer should be treated this way”.
The Sales Representative was not very upfront about pricing, fees and tax information. On two different occasions I had to back into the numbers to find out what I was being charged for. The final sales price also changed after I ordered the vehicle. My Sales Representative did not tell me about the increase until it was time to discuss financing. To make things even better, I found a chip in the paint on one of the doors, three days after the purchase. I was harassed, demeaned and after I completed the paperwork, I was told that I can purchase a vehicle somewhere else. Then directly after I was asked not to complete a negative survey. I cannot...
