How this place doesn’t have more reviews confounds me. I moved to Delray in January and just visited here. It’s small. Definitely small. But there’s a lot of interesting art, it’s free(!), they have fun workshops on the weekends, and the front desk woman is extremely knowledgeable. She was telling us about how Spady was located in one of Delray’s historical districts which was neat info. I wonder if there’s any books on the topic! I’ve attached some pics. Not everything so that I don’t spoil it. They change their installations 4-6 times a year and you can follow them on Facebook and iG Docent tours are a fee but admission is freee

I just went recently as part of field trip for my class and I enjoyed the museum. It’s a small museum, so it should be only a 10-15 minute event but I really learned more about the African/Caribbean culture and it’s influence in Delray Beach. The museum is truly advocating for cultural diversity and informing the public about the black experience in America.

It's a small Museum it's cozy I only wish that they kept informed the staff they have in the front desk even if that's just a helper everyone should be kept informed of any current events or activities so one can direct one more accurately

This museum is a gem! I am a member of NYSUT RC 43, which consists of retired teachers from NY who live full or part-time in FL. We learned so much from our tour. Charlene, the daughter of Vera Rolle Farrington, who was the brainchild of the museum, initiated our visit with information about the founding of the museum and the programs that they offer to the children in the neighborhood. Fabiola continued with her talk about the current exhibition, this area of Delray Beach, and the history of Black and Indigenous communities in FL and in the US. After watching a video about a controversial time in Delray's history, we concluded our tour with Edward who spoke eloquently and passionately about Delray's history and that of the US. It was time well spent. It was not only educational, but it was also very enjoyable. (Parking is readily available next to...

Took a tour of the museum today and got to spend some time listening to Charlene- museum director. It's a beautiful and inspirational place that everyone should see and Charlene is one of these people who you just want to listen to and be around. She fights for a great cause and I feel like her stories were very eye opening. Highly recommend to visit this place and participate in events...
