The Golden Triangle Mall preceded me by over a decade, so needless to say, I grew up with the mall always being part of Denton. My sister and I were "mall rats" in middle & high school, since the mall boasts a $2 movie theater, a barnes and noble bookstore, and until recently, a long-lived candy store called Morrow's. I've seen it go through rough patches with individual stores not lasting too long, and I've seen shops last a long time here. More recently, the mall seems to be doing much better on the whole. Under relatively new ownership, the mall has been renovated to be a much cozier, more welcoming atmosphere. Last I checked, mall walkers are still welcome to come get their exercise in a nice, air-conditioned building, which is especially important in the spring and summer months here. There's even a play-place for small kids to play while their parents have a seat. We even have a small food court now, which we definitely did not have when I was in high school. I wouldn't hole-up here during a zombie apocalypse, but it is a nice, comfortable place to shop when you need back-to-school clothes, shoes, and backpacks; athletic gear for sports; the latest books, movies, and CDs; or just to kill some time window shopping. Parking is free and there's plenty of it. I know some UNT students who commute to Denton for school (but don't want to pay to park on-campus) will park on the side of the mall closest to the bus stop and take the bus to campus. It's convenient if you're on a tight budget and looking to...
Read moreI'm used to going into Torrid which is a great place mind you. But I was having trouble with my card since it was all messed up and had to wait on my new one. They told me at Ross and Charlotte Rouse that I couldn't use my card. One of the employers at Ross got it working I'm guessing she knows how to do the manual input and no one else did. The lady who kept trying to kick me out the line was telling me there was no way to put in my card. Are you serious? There's always a way to put in a card manually YOU just don't know how. Anyways, 10 minutes pass after being in line for like 20 at Ross and the black chick got it working. But then Charlotte Rouse was just, "There's no way to put it in manually because our systems was updated." Are you serious, right now? I was trying not to start trouble because I was with my sister at the time for a girl's night out and you pulled this on me. I just filed a complaint. Hopefully this won't happen to someone else who has this problem. Learn how to use your systems. It's not cute no matter how much you might be. But otherwise, 3 stars. They were nice, just not trained in this matter. I hope my card never gets this bad again. Torrid, we...
Read moreDon't shop here. The people who own this place are racists that take advantage of people by making them work extra. Golden triangle mall doesn't accept people and discriminate people based on their race. They only want to take your money. Besides these facts, the place in dirty, food is gross, employers have bad attitudes and the whole atmosphere is just unbelievable. There isn't any room to walk around and the parking lot is a disaster and did I mention is right next to a highway? There's always accidents happening and hardly any police officers doing anything. Don't shop here until they get it together and make it a better place for our kids. There are big gangster wanabes walking around the mall, intimidating the people and ruining the peace. Who has control of this place anymore? The stores also refuse to sell you anything until you show them proof of residency to shop. So, they rather have proof than take my money? Fools, I could go to better places with far more options like Galleria in Dallas. From past experiences I will never buy again from Golden Triangle mall until they change their attitudes.
No compren aqui. Este lugar es terrible y las personas que venden...
