Zales — Local services in Denton

Be very careful at this Zales. They had a good sale on nice rings, but then I had to deal with the sales staff. Had an appointment, which apparently is meaningless, because we showed up about 5 minutes early and still had to wait at least another 30 minutes to be seen. Then we buy a $2500 wedding ring, and hand over our $6000 engagement ring, so they can be sent to the Zales service facility and be joined permanently. When it comes back, we find that the rings were joined improperly because the sales person wrote down completely wrong instructions, even after we showed this person and two others exactly what we wanted, and explained at least 3 times in very specific terms how we wanted the rings joined. Can't believe they were so cavalier dealing with over $8500 worth of jewelry. On top of it all, we barely get an extremely feeble apology, no acknowledgement of their carelessness, and I have to press them at least 3 times before I can hear an assurance that the mistake can be corrected and covered by another Zales. The attitude of the sales staff was, no big deal, not my problem anymore. So CAUTION, they have decent merchandise, decent prices, but if you send out anything for service make sure you double check the instructions they write down for the shop. Even though they're nodding their heads like they clearly understand, don't trust them. You're not working with the sharpest tools in the box. They are your best friends when the are trying to close the deal, but in the end they will be quick to pass you on to someone else if...

I have never had so much trouble with my ring. I go engaged last year and the diamond fell out. Thank goodness I had insurance. I sent it in to get another diamond set back in early September 2014, it is now January 2015. No one can tell me when i would get my ring back or where my ring was. 1 month after i dropped it off they called me to bring my ring certificate in because they said they needed it before they could do anything with my ring. (They have had my ring for 1 month and had done nothing with it). I brought in the certificate and another month went by and they contacted me to see if i could bring my certificate up again. They had either lost what I gave them a month ago or just dont have a clue what is going on. (Now it has been 2 months without any progress with my ring). Zales has had my ring more than i have. I do not recommend Zales to anyone.

I have also had diamonds fall out of my wedding bands on two different occasions since i got the rings in June 2014. This also took forever to get back. They even sent one of my rings to the wrong place and didnt know where it was for a while. I will not be surprised when or if i ever get to pick up my engagement ring that it will even be...

When I first took my engagement ring in to get sized I had a terrible experience. The lady was very rude. She instantly told me they couldn’t size it. I told her we have the best insurance and this is my dream ring since I was 14. (Very special Ariel enchanted ring) I have no other option is there anything we can do. She kept saying they couldn’t take it smaller and instead of helping me she kept being ugly and getting snappy. I had tears in my eyes begging her to send it off bc they weren’t sure. Finally John helped me and took the ring to be sent off. After she was talking about me and another customer behind our backs.

2 weeks later I went back in to pick it up and I said that it was still a little big. Sherri and Gina listened to me and called the jeweler after I told them the story. They apologized so many times and did everything they could to get it corrected for me. We even bought my fiancé’s wedding ring.
