Tried for more than 6 weeks to make a substantial "gently used" furniture donation to Habitat. Initially told I was being placed on a list and it would be about a month - no problem. After 5 weeks called to see where I was on the list and how much longer it would be. At that time was told there was NO LIST but that I would be moved up and driver would contact me the following week - 1 day before pickup. Now it's Thursday into the next week and complete radio silence!! How HORRIBLE for the people in need!!! I could have placed this furniture in the alley and it would have been gone before I let my garage down, but I wanted it to go to someone trying to keep their head above water or to Habitat to sell to help those in need. How sad that this branch (Denton Co.) of the organization is so poorly run that it isn't better benefiting a community that truly needs...
