Coco Massage Spa — Attraction in Denver

This was the most pleasant surprise ever. I actually called on a whim as I had been wanting a massage for days and Coco Massage were bragging 5 stars...but... they were booked so sadly I was going home. Quickly I get a text from the spa saying they have an opening. I call and she also offers me a $10 Groupon add on for stone and aromatherapy that she offered me over the phone. I snagged it. I turn around and drive to a strip mall with the most unassuming outside but am anxious and walk through the doors. They scoop me up ask what aromatherapy scent and off I go. The room was clean and very cosy. Within the first 10 minutes I realize how great my masseur is and ask if he can do 90 minutes. He obliges. So.... I will say hands down it was the BEST massage I have ever received. It was part Swedish, part Thai, even reflexology mixed in. Truly magnificent. I was married to a massage therapist and have had many massages, nothing has compared. He used his whole body, forearms, elbows hands and truly was able to relieve so much stress in all my body. I wouldn’t recommend this place. It is cheap yes- but spend a little more somewhere else on a good massage. The first 10 minutes I felt like I being given CPR from my back. She was pressing so abruptly and I kept losing my breath. The rest of the time she was just rubbing me in the same circular motion with her forearm. You’re also only under a little 1/2 sheet and I got very cold. She also left at least 4 times to tend to other customers including answering the phone and checking someone out. No hand washing during that time. I honestly didn’t want to tip at all because of the terrible massage and customer service but I felt obligated so I tipped $10. Hey guys! We went last night to try their massage there, the massage is horrible. I asked for a male masseur and while he was doing my massage I kept on complaining to him that things hurt and continued the hard massage to the areas where I felt hurt. Also instead of stopping to that area where I am hurting he laughs at me. Now, I have bumps on my forehead. I will not recommend this Massage spa. As y’all dare to force us to give you a 20% tip?
