On October 18, 2022 I went on a guided fishing trip at Chatfield Reservoir with my son in law, and my 11 year old grandson, led by the incredible Austin Parr. I'm 62 years old and have been fishing all my life. To say we had an incredibly fantastic time would be an understatement. Austin is by far the most knowledgeable fisherman in the state of Colorado, and was more than willing to share that information with us. He also explained to us in great detail the brood stock function of Chatfield reservoir, along with a host of hunting information and explanations of Colorado's intricate hunting regulations. During the course of our day we easily caught over 50 fish, including 4 beautiful keeper rainbow trout and an incredible 22 1/2 inch walleye. We also caught over 15 smallmouth bass. Slayed the fish at Chatfield with a guided day on the water with Austin Parr. Unbelievable guide with immense knowledge of what to use and how to adjust quickly to put us on a consistent bite all day! Lost count of how many fish we caught. At least 60-70+ with a mix of small mouth and walleye made it into the boat as well as the numerous hits we just missed. Austin is just a genuine good guy, and made sure we had a great time.
