it's interesting to me to see how most people here are treated well and have a great experience. while i was not.
maybe after my review they improved. i think there was a change in ownership. i haven't seen Juely. not sure if i spelled her name correctly. everytime i was treated bad here, Juely was no where to be found. i miss her. she was very kind and knowledgeable and the reason I'd always come back. i spent so much money there when i didn't even have a lot. the staff was very kind to me and helpful as well, back then. with the exception that same rude lady
that took my expensive items (before covid before inflation) and emptied her king super lunch sack, to put my new overpriced expensive items that i just bought. in her old lunch bag. that should have been my first clue. but i went back twice after that. thinking maybe they were struggling. they had store bags there tho. but anyway. i didn't make a big deal.
After covid hit. i had gone there twice again and each time was offended. because the first time i drove across town needing to use the restroom and was turned away. to my knowledge no other shop there allows public bathrooms unless at least you shop there and there aren't many other shopping centers close by. i was blindsided by that.
it's odd because they have neat gadget timers. more staff than usual, but no restrooms?
So i drove all the way to shining lotus metaphysical bookstore. thankfully i could hold it. and they aren't too far. they have covid protacol. if there are too many people you'll have to wait outside, for an example. you have to wear a mask. they update us on the standard. they are very clear. and when they seen me that day. i felt they felt my discomfort and pain. they let me use the bathroom. i was so grateful especially after that rude experience at isis.
Shining Lotus had distinctant, and then they allowed me to shop till i found what i wanted. the contrast in service felt heavenly. They didn't have what i wanted. isis didn't have it either. so shining lotus found it and they ordered it for me and called me when it came in. they also have many rare items. i felt that they are true to their craft. empathic and knowledgable about the ancient wisdom of the artifacts they sell. i didn't tell shining lotus my bad experience at isis. i was too heartbroken. shining lotus acted from their own integrity. i didn't have to say anything at all about it. so i know their kindness and customer service was genuine.
plus the way shining lotus introduced the changes they made to accommodate for covid. not offensive at all. and i learned it from them first. at that time they had tight restrictions.
i went to isis later. after even government buildings had loosened up.
silly me. i went back to isis a while later. thinking maybe that was a fluke experience. but that same owner rudely took things out of my hands and told me i had enough time to shop. after my buzzer went off. I'm not rude. i didn't say much of anything to anyone except greet them and so i don't know why that lady seems to target me. she used to be very kind. so i don't know what happened. most items are locked behind glass and you can't see the prices. after asking to see a few items or check prices, 30 mins pass easy. especially if it's not what you want.
After the 30 min buzzer went off. she rudely snatched the items out of my hand. totally shocked me. i drove very far to get there. and she just expected me to leave empty after 30 mins. and if she'd jusr told me to leave because 30 mins passed. i would have put the items back of course. so why snatching? lol weird. and why not allow me to buy what i had in my hands?
We all have our moments. Maybe there's a reason. but i went back multiple times before writing this review.
Isis bookstore hopefully their service improves. that although they treated me so poorly. maybe they'll read this and treat you...

I bought a stone necklace and braclet. I was literally doing the bathroom dance šš» after purchasing two items. The lady upfront was also rude and said that one bathroom was out of order (it was out of order the last time I went as well) and the other bathroom is for employees only. I felt like I was just another number to them as well.
ā¢ā¢ā¢Greedy and rudeālet me have your money and then yeah, get out, thatās all we needed from you. It wasnāt humane or spiritual at all. It felt just like a corporate storeāgreedy and impersonal.
Iād rather utilize Etsyāyou can find some great finds on there AND you donāt have to waste gas and excess money on some entitled, rude people at an overpriced shop.

My mom and I had scheduled an appointment with Drueann and I explained that this was for two people (my mom and I). We showed up for our appointment on time and even browsed through the store awaiting our appointment. Drueann came out of her last appointment and was negative off the bat. She asked if I had the appointment, I said "yes" pointed at my mom and explained it was for both of us. She rudely said "well I don't normally do combination readings but just come back." We walked in to the room and my mom asked "well what are our options if you can't do this for both of us?". Mind you when I called I said there were two people so all of this could have been prevented. Drueanne again negatively and rudely said "no what I actually said was come back and we'll talk about." So my mom continued to explain why we're there. Drueann exaplined how if this doesn't work out we can make the decision to cancel. My mom explained that we will cancel because obviously she doesn't want to work with us. Not once did she ask us what our names were or anything about us. She didn't even tell her what her name was until she said "well I don't normally do that." We cancelled because the energy was off and to my surprise Drueann stood up before we even had the chance to get up and she rushed us out of the room and I could here the door slam behind us. I come before people are welcoming and open. I don't appreciate someone's rude behavior and not even making an attempt to see who we are and why we made an appointment in the first place. All around negative and I will not be coming back just because of her actions. I'm honestly appalled because even her facial expressions showed she wanted nothing to do with us the minute we walked in.
