*Edit at bottom; My first time here, I really enjoyed shopping. Pete's is a local, small business with a family-feel environment and their attached flower nursery is gorgeous! My fiancĆ© & I totally forgot about produce while getting lost in the array of hanging planters and vibrant greenery! It was refreshing to have a cozy grocery option inside the city limits. The family running the shop are friendly, and while some products offered may be at a higher price point, there are many fresh, organic options at as just a good deal, if not better, than the traditional grocery store. I would def recommend Pete's over the big names any day, great to see this shop thriving šŸ’ššŸ™ŒšŸ½šŸŒæšŸŒ·šŸ„‘ *I would say tho after shopping a few times, that I wish that more items were marked with a price because I am a consumer who likes to know what Im spending before choosing. Many items are not labeled at all and its kind of a surprise at the register; sometimes you dont get a receipt even. I hate to have to bother anyone in the store to ask about prices, and its good business practice to provide consistant, visible price...

Really wanted to like this place. In a lot of ways I did/do. I LOVE that it is locally owned, has some variety, supports other small businesses and includes some products from international sellers. However, the one thing I consider a deal breaker on purchasing produce from grocers is whether or not they use Apeel, Edipeel, Organipeel, or any of the other man made synthetic toxins on their produce. I asked several employees this question and they had no idea what I was even talking about or just kind of shrugged and said "probably, I would just assume so". Considering this place is literally called "Pete's Fruits and Vegetables" I would expect them to have more pride and more concern for those products. Instead, it seems this is just a store who is capitalizing off the small, boutique-ey, health food corner grocery mart without a care for whether or not the food they sell is actually healthy/toxin free. I'll stick to natural grocers and the...

Wow! Real deal Old world market brimming with hand selected culinary treasures from around the world and down the street. Greek owned so they have an amazing selection of Grecian goods.

A Full selection of fruits & vegetables, exotic cheeses and fresh cheeses. Countless delicacies and classic bodega snacks.

Their meat counter is among the best I have found in the city... not from a volume or variety standpoint, but from a quality standpoint.. Snake River farms, wagu, etc... High quality cuts and house made sausage.

The deli counter features gyros meat and house made taziki alongside a number of prepared take away. Pete is the real deal... Ask him about olive oil.. he has an amazing selection and will share his knowledge.

I can't...

A staple in the community for over five decades, Pete’s is a local gem and the store owner himself shines just as brightly in both character and kindness. His story is truly an embodiment of the American dream, as he started in the states with nothing but a hard work ethic and an earnest desire to learn the local language. I highly recommend checking out the peaches, figs and olives offered—our tastebuds were blown away. From shelved produce to pretty perennials stationed just outside, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. It’s a place stocked full of charm, with general store vibes from a by gone era. I can’t commend Pete’s highly enough, you won’t be disappointed!

I'm all for supporting local business but I just got ripped off at Pete's... The items don't have prices listed (I shouldn't have been surprised that pre-packaged goods are more expensive here). The shocking thing is seeing that I got charged 13.96 tax on a $70 grocery bill... I think the older lady behind the counter marked up items and significantly overcharged me. It was my first time there and I definitely won't go back/recommend Pete's. It's also worth noting that several items on the shelf were already expired
