Absolutely Disgusting Experience – One Star Is Absolutely Disgusting Experience – One Star Is Too Generous

I visited this bakery today, and it was without a doubt one of the most unpleasant and disrespectful experiences I’ve ever had as a customer. The moment I walked in, I was greeted—not with a smile or a simple hello—but with a look of disgust and contempt from an elderly woman working there. Her facial expression was cold, hostile, and completely inappropriate for someone working in customer service.

I politely asked if they had Napoleon, and her response was shockingly rude and aggressive: ā€œNo.ā€ No explanation, no courtesy, just raw hostility. I then asked for the price of the Ć©clair, and again, she snapped back at me in the most unprofessional and condescending tone: ā€œThe prices are on the wall.ā€

Despite this outrageous behavior, I went ahead and bought two Ć©clairs. When I asked for a receipt, she flat-out refused and said rudely, ā€œThere’s no receipt. It’s $12.ā€ Excuse me? I have every right to receive a receipt, even if the amount was just one dollar. This kind of dismissive, arrogant attitude is completely unacceptable.

How someone like this is allowed to run or even work at a place that depends on customer interaction is beyond me. Her behavior was disgusting, disrespectful, and absolutely disgraceful. I had intended to become a regular customer and even planned to bring friends who love French pastries. But after this? Absolutely not. I will make it a point to warn everyone I know to stay away from this place so they don’t have to experience the same rudeness and humiliation I did.

Shameful service. Unworthy of even the smallest amount of customer loyalty. Generous

Easily the best authentic French pastries I’ve had in Denver, and it’s really not even close. Everything is so delicious! The gentleman that helped me the first time was so pleasant and kind. He smiled, answered my questions about their goodies, and even offered some friendly small talk…. But his wife…. My goodness she is so rude it’s unbelievable. I don’t get it, I came in with a smile and happy to get some of their delectable pastries, and walked out with a frown after receiving horrid customer service. She is rude and abrupt, like she wants you to buy and get out as quickly as possible. I politely inquired about some pastries, to which she seemed to get irritated that I even had the audacity to ask. After reading some reviews on here, it seems I’m not the only one that has encountered this rude behavior with this lady.

Pastries: 5/5 Customer service from the gentlemen: 5/5 Customer service from the lady: 0/5

What a shame honestly. A 5 star establishment reduced by such unnecessary rudeness. Nobody is asking you to bend over backwards, just a smile and simple ā€œhello and welcomeā€ can go a very long way. And no need to get irritated when people ask questions about your products, not everyone is from France and knows what every dessert is.

To the owner lady: if you’re reading this, we get it, you’re an excellent pastry chef, but that doesn’t mean you can be rude to people. You need to learn to be polite like...

After years of coming here and ordering probably everything they make, i’m going to offer up what is my absolute favorite and the knowledge that it will not be everybody else’s favorite. Their brioche cake- It’s beyond sublime. Filled w various, Most recently whipped cream and strawberries. A very special occasion cake That I unashamedly eat nearly by myself at times.

My extended family has been going here for patisserie since they opened. This is a true French establishment and the goods here are without peer in Denver.

Even compared to Europe and other cities, it is hard to beat. If you want made to order Parisian patisserie come here. If you want American style service go elsewhere. This is a bakery not a restaurant.

It is hard to say what's best as it is all supurb, much better than my French. Personal favorites are the fresh brioche, thhe mini quiche for to-go lunches, and fruit tarts. Our guests look forward to desserts...

The authentic french pastry experience...even the bakery owner had the most lovely French accent. I'd visit everyday if I could! Before visiting, I'd never known that I could fall in love with a cookie, but low and behold, their curved almond cookie was music to my taste buds. I've had "almond cookies" in the past which were high on almond extract but low on actual almonds, not these, though. I felt like there was a sliced almond orchard packed into every bite. I also ordered the fruit tart, which was nothing short of magnifique! If you have a moment, pop in and delight in the loveliness that this little bakery has to offer.

Fantastic, real local French bakery. The owners are older with English as a second language, both of which can affect hearing and pace of speech. However I found them to be very friendly and willing to teach me the names of things in French. I stopped by this morning and could not make up my mind. I left with a ham and cheese croissant (which they offered to heat for me), a Napoleon (very good, definitely sweet) and a peche (peach) tart. Highly recommend. I will be back.

My husband’s favorite holiday is Pi(e) Day and I was able to convince him to try some tarts for the occasion. We are so glad we stopped! We also bought a chocolate eclair that we wolfed down before leaving. It was the best we have both had in years and it was packed to the brim with cream and the chocolate was perfect! Everyone was very kind and helpful. We can’t wait to go back.
