Absolutely Disgusting Experience ā One Star Is Absolutely Disgusting Experience ā One Star Is Too Generous
I visited this bakery today, and it was without a doubt one of the most unpleasant and disrespectful experiences Iāve ever had as a customer. The moment I walked in, I was greetedānot with a smile or a simple helloābut with a look of disgust and contempt from an elderly woman working there. Her facial expression was cold, hostile, and completely inappropriate for someone working in customer service.
I politely asked if they had Napoleon, and her response was shockingly rude and aggressive: āNo.ā No explanation, no courtesy, just raw hostility. I then asked for the price of the Ć©clair, and again, she snapped back at me in the most unprofessional and condescending tone: āThe prices are on the wall.ā
Despite this outrageous behavior, I went ahead and bought two Ć©clairs. When I asked for a receipt, she flat-out refused and said rudely, āThereās no receipt. Itās $12.ā Excuse me? I have every right to receive a receipt, even if the amount was just one dollar. This kind of dismissive, arrogant attitude is completely unacceptable.
How someone like this is allowed to run or even work at a place that depends on customer interaction is beyond me. Her behavior was disgusting, disrespectful, and absolutely disgraceful. I had intended to become a regular customer and even planned to bring friends who love French pastries. But after this? Absolutely not. I will make it a point to warn everyone I know to stay away from this place so they donāt have to experience the same rudeness and humiliation I did.
Shameful service. Unworthy of even the smallest amount of customer loyalty. Generous

The gentleman that helped me the first time was so pleasant and kind. He smiled, answered my questions about their goodies, and even offered some friendly small talkā¦. But his wifeā¦. My goodness she is so rude itās unbelievable. I donāt get it, I came in with a smile and happy to get some of their delectable pastries, and walked out with a frown after receiving horrid customer service. She is rude and abrupt, like she wants you to buy and get out as quickly as possible. I politely inquired about some pastries, to which she seemed to get irritated that I even had the audacity to ask. After reading some reviews on here, it seems Iām not the only one that has encountered this rude behavior with this lady.
Pastries: 5/5 Customer service from the gentlemen: 5/5 Customer service from the lady: 0/5
What a shame honestly. A 5 star establishment reduced by such unnecessary rudeness. Nobody is asking you to bend over backwards, just a smile and simple āhello and welcomeā can go a very long way. And no need to get irritated when people ask questions about your products, not everyone is from France and knows what every dessert is.
To the owner lady: if youāre reading this, we get it, youāre an excellent pastry chef, but that doesnāt mean you can be rude to people. You need to learn to be polite like...

Their brioche cake- Itās beyond sublime. Filled w various, Most recently whipped cream and strawberries. A very special occasion cake That I unashamedly eat nearly by myself at times.
My extended family has been going here for patisserie since they opened. This is a true French establishment and the goods here are without peer in Denver.
Even compared to Europe and other cities, it is hard to beat. If you want made to order Parisian patisserie come here. If you want American style service go elsewhere. This is a bakery not a restaurant.
It is hard to say what's best as it is all supurb, much better than my French. Personal favorites are the fresh brioche, thhe mini quiche for to-go lunches, and fruit tarts. Our guests look forward to desserts...
