I am a repeat customer to the Deptford location I have brought in 2 different cars for 8 new tires in last six months and never had an issue till today. I made an appointment on friday January 4th for 1 tire to be plugged/repaired but called back same hour to reschedule for Sunday instead of Saturday, talk to same woman, she said no issue. Arrived today, January 6 at 9 am (first appointment first customer of the day) and the man (brown hair, goatee mustache combo) at the desk told us we didn't have an appointment then aggressively swiveled his screen at us, told us our appointment was the day before. My fiance explained the situation, we had proof we called twice friday for the Sunday appointment but your employee became rude and aggressive in his tone then very dismissive and kept cutting us off and then not listening at all. Two other male customers were behind us watching your employee being unprofessional as well. My fiance and I were calm and polite trying to figure out a solution. No offer to reschedule, no apology, no problem solving at all. He said to leave the car and MAYBE in 3 days they would get to it since they still hadn't finished the cars from the day before (Saturday). (That is a good example of poor management and something that should never be told to a customer but we didn't say that).Three days seemed shady for a simple plug when we were initially told it would take a few hours. Our last 2 visits for four new tires for 2 separate vehicles was both a day and a half, maybe 2 days and a tire to be plugged should be nothing time wise. If they couldn't accommodate us or any other customers in the first place, then the woman we initially spoke to on the phone should have been honest and scheduled accordingly. My fiance told him, since we were on the schedule for Saturday and they didn't finish half the cars on Saturday then that should include our car then. (Basic common sense) Your employee dismissed us again. So we asked for a manager and he said he was. She asked for the general manager and he implied he was, but he was dressed unprofessionally and lacked communication skill and basic problem solving skills. He had no name tag that we noticed. Clearly your manager wasn't interested in our current or future business so we politely informed him we would take our car somewhere else and told him we would leave a bad review on all social media platforms and email corporate which we have done. Your employee's response was just to shrug his shoulders and not care. When we left my Fiance told me how uncomfortable the man made her by his aggressive attitude and tone and was thankful I was present along with two other male customers or she would have felt unsafe. I truly hope you have a camera in your lobby and review the footage.Clearly your manager doesn't care how he represents your brand and should be sent to find his bliss somewhere else. This experience lost our business and I would never return. Our only regret through this entire situation was not taking out our camera phone and videoing the entire conversation and emailing it to the corporate headquarters and posting it along with our...
Read moreI don’t usually write reviews, but I had such a great experience at Mavis Discount Tires that I felt it was worth sharing—especially because of one person in particular: Bill, the assistant manager.
From the moment I walked in, Bill made a stressful situation much easier. I had a tire losing air quickly and wasn’t sure if I needed a repair or a full replacement. Bill greeted me with a calm, professional attitude and genuinely listened to my concerns. What stood out immediately was how patient and honest he was—he took the time to walk me through my options without any pressure, and it was clear he had my best interest in mind.
He kept me updated throughout the process, explained what the techs found in a way I could actually understand, and even showed me the damage on the tire. It’s rare to find someone in this kind of business who treats customers with that level of respect and transparency.
What could have been a frustrating day turned out to be a really positive experience, and a big part of that was thanks to Bill’s customer service skills. He turned a routine tire issue into an interaction that actually built trust.
If you’re heading to Mavis, I highly recommend asking for Bill. He’s knowledgeable, approachable, and goes above and beyond to make sure you leave satisfied. I’ll definitely be returning...

Showed up on a Saturday to have our car aligned, as it was shaking a bit at about 70 mph on the highway. Had to reschedule, as there was a 2 hour wait, even though we were on time for our appointment. Came back on Weds. to have our car aligned and was told the rims were too bad to balance the wheels. Instead of telling us that we really should get new rims, an attempt was made to balance the wheels. The car now shakes uncontrollably at 55 mph now and we were blamed for having beat up rims.
Sorry, but why would you touch the rims at all if they need replacing? "I've been doing this since I was 16, and I'm now 41"...that much experience should have told you NOT to attempt to balance the beat up rims. Somehow that was the "lesser of two evils", because we had paid for a year of alignment services. Manager had the audacity to tell me that he was "skipping out on dinner with his family", as I stood in the train station, not yet home from a day at the office. Sorry bud, but my wife shouldn't be calling me, telling me that the car no longer feels safe to drive, after SHE DROVE IT TO YOU just fine.
Stay away. This place is not worth the headache. NTB, please don't respond to this post, I don't want to hear from...
