Oh man has this restaurant fell of its horse! I sincerely hope that it was a bad night for them but either way, their should be no "bad nights". My time was wasted as well as my appetite, as I left very frustrated. Firstly, how does one find comfort with getting a seat in the front of the restaurant with the beaming headlights hitting one through the revolving door? This is "atmosphere"? Waiters were walking in circles as I would only figure that it's to have a 'waiter always available' effect. We could not say that ours was delightful. A kid in a chef suit with no smile and had this look of not wanting to be there. Let me tell you, NEITHER DID I! Especially after I order to go food after the dinner incident and no less than 45 mins later, after some other brought my Togo food 20 mins before he says "oh look you got your food, didn't know it was done". WHERE WERE YOU!?! The overall Hospitality in this place had a donkey back kick this service into dismay. And ontop we still see 20%+ tip as a must for every thing no matter the service? That's what tips are for, to rate service. Though I shouldn't have tipped the 20% or near it. I still had some remorse... Even if you don't get asked if you want another refreshment after an hour and some long dinner... The cup being already dry after 20 minutes... Nonetheless, let's move. As my viewers already know, italian cuisine is MY mastermind. So as I order ahimsa tuna and a shrimp scampi. I ask if it's made with a specific ingredient and he says yes. Kudos. The ahi tuna arrives and it's a salad? Where's the ahi tuna that was presented in a perfect circle with caviar layered at the bottom , tuna, then avocado? Where was that fine masterpiece? Who knows; Gone with the quality of the tuna, or the sauce. One of them was giving a bad taste... Now the shrimp scampi. The dish that broke the dam. This dish was a dollar store version of what I ordered. Shrimp were boiled in water and thrown on a bed of pasta. Bland ,no taste. The sauce, diluted with water and doctored up like when you doctor up a cheap ramen... its not supposed to be watery. Nor not stick to the pasta. I could tell with just one sip of the soup that it indeed did not have the ingredient that I asked the waiter about... the only good thing of that night was the already made Cheesecake. If it wasn't preprepped then 1 kudo for it was the only thing Ieft with on my stomach... yes I was forced to return the scampi back to where it came... Lastly, the to go order: butterflied rainbow, perfectly cooked and seasoned. It was fresh, fluffy like the mashed potatoes. Yes their was a few bone of course but was nonetheless very enjoyable. Will I be returning? Not to this one...
Read moreMe and my wife frequent this location in Deptford. We stop by for some happy hour drinks. MY wife ordered a bowl of corn chowder, and a I a cup. Both soups came out extremely cold. So I asked the server to take him back to be heated. When the server brought them back out, they looked as if they didn't have any crab meat, and bacon on top, so we asked for more crab meat. And this is when this whole visit turned into a nightmare. I didn't know that I asking for crab meat Was such a big deal, but turns out it was the worst thing you can ask for at this location. The manager, Mr. Senior management Thomas brings too small individual portions of crab meat out and proceed to tell us about how much the pricing of crab meat is. So I told him We chose to come to a up scale dining environment. And we thought that the soups would come back the way they should've look originally. He then tells me that's why he offered to take the soup's back and make new ones. I told him that we already had the soups reheated. We just was asking for a little bit more crab meat. So after that, 20 minute debate. Obviously, we didn't want our soup anymore , so the server gets Thomas once again. Now hes upset that he brought the 2 little cups of crab meat out and we didn't want the soups anymore. So then he goes on and says the last time you were here. You had some issues also, so I don't think we can make you happy. I answered him all we ever wanted was our soups to look and to come out hot the first time? My bill was like, $80. And hes telling me about $8 worth of crab meat. I think it's appalling of him to even go through all that in front of my wife at great lengths. I am in the food industry also and I know hospitality. And this was certainly not it, Especially from Someone who claims to be a senior management individual. this was really unacceptable and horrendous. And we frequent that's...
Read more01/07/24 7:30 PM The downright inexcusably poor service started at the host station. The hostess was engaged in conversation with what appeared to be a kitchen staff member who was leaning on the host station. It took the hostess a few seconds to acknowledge us, and when we said 2 for Dinner she looked over at the kitchen guy like she was annoyed to be bothered. We were sat in the big (main I guess) dining room and the place was empty with the exception of 2 other tables and some people at the bar. Our server was a young man with dark curly hair. He took our drink order and then took quite awhile to come back and take our app & dinner order. My friend is diabetic so he requested a large bottle of water. Our appetizers came and my favorite (Bang Bang Shrimp) was a disappointment…lukewarm and the breading was so mushy. The artichokes were good. We had to remind our server about the bottle of water as he had forgotten to bring it.We ordered the cedar plank salmon and fish and chips. The salmon was drier than the piece of wood it was served on but he didn’t want to send it back despite my urging to order something else but he didn’t eat it. We needed refills of our drinks but waited over 10 minutes for our server to show up again. Meanwhile the hostess is slumped over her station seemingly oblivious to anything going on. When we finally got our server’s attention again and asked for refills he had the balls to say “Well I do have 3 other tables so I’m doing the best I can”. Wrong answer my guy. I’ve been to several Bonefish Grills in NY & FLA and the food and service in this NJ location was the first time I’ve been utterly disappointed and needless to say we will not return. Way too many other options in the area to put up with terrible food and service at...
