Played the gangster era themed room here with my 9 and 11 year old. We were put in with a group of 4. Great props, employees were very communicative (we were late-an escape room no-no. lol), and clue delivery was good. Game play was a bit linear so while the room may fit 8, it should only be about 4-5 decent players or 2-3 highly experienced players. The game play went smoothly and will fill an hour for most groups. A smattering of easy and hard challenges (logic/patterns) made for an enjoyable experience. Facilities are clean and have an open barred window to the bar next door. I was with children or I would've gone for a drink! Photos are done on your own phone (i think) and they were nice enough to take it with just me and the 2 kids and not burden the other players. There were one or two challenges that didn't make a lot of sense, or could've been misinterpreted wrong, but we eventually figured it out by asking for help.
The facility is street front but parking is behind (hard to fathom until you drive behind the back), google maps wasn't much of a help to the parking lot so leave some time to figure this out. We initially missed the turn into the parking lot coming from Hershey Lodge and flipping a U is almost impossible on that street, until you turn left WAY down the street and flip it there.
I will be back again next year to try more rooms.

Read moreWe've been to several escape rooms in the Central PA area and this is one of my favorites. Their rooms are well thought out, the clues are a good amount of difficulty (based on the room) without being unsolvable, and the staff is very friendly. They also switch up their rooms often enough that we can keep coming back.
My kids love going to escape rooms, but very few have rooms that are of interest to and solvable by kids between 6 and 14. Escape Room Hershey provides a room that is on a kid's level, but also fun for the adults in the group.
I also appreciate that they don't limit clues. We've been to ones that only allow 3 clues. Escape Room Hershey doesn't put on a limit. With kids, that's a huge help. It's also very nice that they put all the lock types in the lobby, so you can make sure you know how to open all the locks before heading into the room. There's nothing worse than having the right answer, but not being able to figure out why the lock...
Read moreWhat a fun place! We visited Hershey for the weekend and figured this would be perfect before coming home. Originally I had scheduled us for the Theater game, which I learned was the hardest available. This was our 20th room, however it was only the two of us (nice!) but knew we probably wouldn't make it. We spoke to the kind lady (as we were in the Biergarten next door, which has a shared open wall between the businesses) and she was king enough to (1) let us switch to the Candy Factory and (2) get started a little early. Excellent! Our guide was so fun, but I can't remember her name. :( (She was wearing a jersey and has pretty red-ish hair!) She set up the game for us, helped us when we needed it, and we managed to make it out! The decorations were okay, but what I appreciate is that the game and puzzles made logical sense! It was a delight and if we were in the area again we would certainly try another...
