" THE EASTERN MARKET " BACK IN THE DAY , MY SISTER, MOM & I USE TO GET UP AND COME DOWNTOWN TO THE EASTERN MARKET, IT WAS CALLED D.D.DAYS, MY MOM USED TO SHOP AT THE " HUDSON" STORE, THE TOP OF THE STORE USE FOR PEOPLE THAT HAD "MONEY", THE BASEMENT FLOOR WAS FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC, BASICALLY LOW INCOME PEOPLE, I REMEMBER TELLING MY MOM , THAT I WAS GONNA SHOP ON THE TOP OF HUDSON STORE WHENEVER I GOT GROWN, AND I REMEMBER HER TELLING ME " BY THE TIME YOU GET GROWN THERE WON'T BE A HUDSON'S BUILDING, AND SHE WAS SOOO RIGHT, BUT I'VE HAD THE PLEASURE OF SHOPPING AT SOMERSET MALL IN TROY WITH MY SON, & I HAD A BALL, SO WITH THE COMING OF FALL, HOPEFULLY I'LL BE ABLE TO GO BACK TO SHOPPING AT SOMERSET, THE MERCHANDISE AT SOMERSET, IS DEFINITELY A BETTER QUALITY THAN THAT OF FAIRLANE MALL, OAKLAND MALL , MY SON'S FATHER " WYATT, HE TOOK REALLY GOOD CARE OF ME, AND MY SON RYAN WATCHED HIM TAKE GOOD CARE IF ME AND HIM ( RYAN ) , SO I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT JEHOVAH TOUCH THERE HEARTS , AND HE'LL TOUCH MY REAL,...

This place is great. It has more different types of meats and poultry. Then you'll ever see anywhere at a grocery store. It's a lot of fun to go down on a Saturday when the farmers market is open and make a day of it between the cheese stores and the Amish have stands in the farmers market, but the meat market is the biggest draw. One of the best places in the meat market or Central meat market is Ronnie's and if you ever want to get the best, corned beef in the world is go to Wrigley's which is just next to Ronnie's. They have the best corned beef bar. None it's fun to go down and just enjoy a day going through some of the market stores and through the farmers market on the weekends. And don't forget the cheese stores, it's a great place...
