Dillon Marina Park Pavilion — Attraction in Dillon

These guys are amazing! From start to finish, they knocked the customer service out of the park. I was planning to rent a boat for my husbands birthday as a surprise and have our whole family there. While looking at the website, I noticed a disclaimer stating that full refunds are given up to 48 hours in advance and refunds are given, less 20% within a 48 hour window of your reservation. My husband is a first responder so there is always the possibility that he could be called out and gone for three weeks, which could clearly spoil birthday surprise plans. Before booking online (which, by the way was super easy) I called just to explore options, fully expecting them to tell me their policy was what I had already read, but I figured I’d ask... the woman I spoke with, first thanked me for my husband’s work and then proceeded to tell me that if he were to be deployed, they would gladly just reschedule our trip upon his return. I was blown away and booked immediately. Fast forward to today... holy traffic heading up to the mountains on a Sunday at 10 am. We arrived 25 minutes after our scheduled departure... oh well, it is what it is, right? Nope! They extended our departure time so that we would have the full 4 hours we had paid for. Talk about blown away again! I can’t recommend Dillon Marina enough. The staff was incredible; helpful, friendly, and quick. The boat was perfect; clean, spacious and well maintained. We had such a wonderful time and my husband was utterly surprised. We will definitely be using Dillon Marina again for boat rentals...

This place is shady! I booked a reservation online, but ended up needing to cancel. I called to cancel more than 48 hrs prior to my reservation and was told "you are receiving a full refund". However I was refunded $9.30 less than I was charged. When I asked why, the girl told me she didn't know and would have to ask. She then said it was because I booked online and there is an online booking fee that is not refundable. The only info on their website and on the email confirmation I received says "you will receive a full refund if canceled outside 48 hours". It doesn't mention anything about a fee that is non refundable. She transferred me to the supposed supervisor who was literally the rudest person I have ever encountered. She was completely snotty and condescending. I ended up calling my credit card to dispute the original charge/refund amount, only to be told... Dillon Marina did not refund me when I cancelled, they charged me again! So at this point I have now paid twice for a reservation I cancelled more than 48 hours in advance. Think twice before doing...

This was my first time photographing an intimate wedding at Dillon Marina Park Pavilion, and I will definitely be recommending it to other couples!

PROS: The scenery and views of Lake Dillon and the surrounding mountains are lovely! The pavilion is located far enough away from playgrounds, trails, etc. to maintain a sense of privacy. There is plenty of parking. The covered pavilion provides a backup plan incase of rain. The restroom facilities are nearby and clean. It was very easy for my couple to prepare food offsite and setup a 5-star reception to enjoy on-site after their ceremony.

CONS: This rental is more expensive than many other public space rentals. However, it offers significantly more amenities, so this isn't particularly surprising. I thought it was a great value.

All-in-all I would highly recommend Dillon Marina Park Pavilion to couples who want to host a scenic wedding and reception on Colorado...
