Elevation Bowl — Local services in Dillon

I am highly disappointed with my experience at this bowling alley and will never return. I paid $70 for one hour of bowling for three adults, but the lanes were completely dry with no oil at all. When I asked the manager about the dry conditions afterward, he simply said, "Oh, that lane has seen better days. We don’t oil it at all."

I questioned why we were assigned to such a lane, and the manager replied, "Did you have your own ball?" I’m from out of state and didn’t bring my own ball, which shouldn't have made a difference. There were hardly any other customers there, so there was no reason they couldn't have put us on a lane that was properly oiled.

I do not recommend this place at all. If I could give it zero stars, I would have.

I apologize for assuming it was the owner, as he was directing everyone there. I will assume he is the manager. Both staff members told us that the lanes had seen better days and were not oiled. Nice bowling alley in Dillon, with a bar (good happy hour) well decorated bowling lanes, and various other games including pool and darts. If you bowl before 6pm the price is reduced by $10.

We came mid afternoon and the place was pretty crowded. Our lane’s computer wasn’t working, it scored every round as 8 points regardless of how we performed. The staff wasn’t able to fix it, and eventually moved us to another lane for the last 10 mins of the hour we booked.

Jesse (a manager who worked here) was helpful and proactive in helping us out, he refunded us for the cost and gave us a credit for a free hour of bowling, which was very appreciated (we aren’t local to Summit County, and the staff said there would be no lanes available til much later in the evening, so unlikely we’ll ever use it, but the gesture was 👍). Jesse was great but we didn’t find the rest of the staff to be very friendly or helpful.

Despite the issue with the computer and it’s scoring, we had a nice time here and enjoyed the environment....

It was a fun vibe, staff was nice, drinks were good and cheap. But the lanes were not accurately tracking our score (9 pins counted as strikes, strikes counted as 0) and the pins would fully reset sometimes, say on a first round I hit a 7 then it would fully reset. I’ll come back cause I live here and it’s the only bowling but I hope next time our scores are accurate.

Also last time we tried to go here last week it was during operating hours and we drove 30 mins and it was closed :/ I even called to make sure they were open and no one picked up (and the voice message had their hours) so I assumed they were busy. On one man’s junk they said they were closed due to an emergency and I get that stuff happens but it would’ve been nice to update the voice mail for the day. Again, we will be back but would love to see this business...
