New Oriental Massage of Doral — Attraction in Doral

One of the worst massages (if I can even call it that) I’ve ever experienced, and let me explain why:

We called in advance to schedule a couples Thai massage for 2 pm, we showed up and clearly they had no idea what was going on nor did they give us a Thai massage. There was also a very uncomfortable language barrier as well that made it awkward.

We are led to our treatment room and there’s no where to put your clothes/belongings, and get this, NO SHEEET to get under. Just a tiny towel. I have NEVER experienced this before; we ended up going under the top sheet because what else were we supposed to do, and then our massage therapists came in and berated us for doing it wrong. Extremely uncomfortable and awkward. And then my massage therapist proceeded to rip that away from me so I was completely exposed without anything to cover with. There was also a sign stating no sexual services provided, why does this have to be explicitly stated? Super shady.

Our massage got interrupted 6 times due to customers entering. The massage therapists each took turns (3 times each) going to the front to tell the customer they were busy. Why not put a sign up during treatment to prevent interruptions? Or better yet have a dedicated front office person. This completely interfered with our ability to relax and actually enjoy the massage.

My masseuse never asked about the pressure being appropriate. It was too light and it didn’t feel as if she actually knew what she was doing, more so just “going through the motions”. She also kept coughing throughout the massage, and would also mutter under her breath and speak to the other masseuse in a different language, which is quite frankly rude and detracts from the ambience we were attempting to achieve.

As I didn’t have a sheet or anything to cover me besides the half towel, my masseuse would continuously reposition it, which left me feeling exposed and very uncomfortable. I still can’t get over that we weren’t given an actual sheet to get under - literally every massage I’ve ever had provided that along with a pillow for your legs - also something that was glaringly absent.

Lastly, we had to pay for the massage BEFORE the actually treatment, which I’ve never experienced before. This is awkward because it basically forces you to tip on the treatment service before you’ve actually received it.

We left the location uncomfortable, frustrated, and angry that we decided to go there.

I would strongly advise anyone to reconsider visiting this establishment and look elsewhere. Worst massage ever.

Update I experienced COVID-like symptoms 2 days after the massage and sure enough tested positive for COVID. I HIGHLY suspect that my massage “therapist” had COVID and did not inform us of her symptoms let alone wear a mask while she kept coughing during the massage. Just another reason this place lacks any shred of integrity. AVOID...

THEIR SIGNATURE IS NEW ORIENTAL MASSAGE I WAS VERY EXCITED I COULD GET A MERIDIAN ACUPUNCTURE MASSAGE I AM A HIGH SCHOOL PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHER, I MADE AN APPOINTMENT ON THE PHONE AND TOLD HER THAT I REALLY NEEDED A THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE, BECAUSE OF ACUTE SPASMS IN MY TERES MAJOR MUSCLE PAIN IN MY BACK AND SHOULDERS. I REALLY NEEDED A MASSAGE TO RELIEVE THE PAIN. I ARRIVED AS SCHEDULED, UNBELIEVABLY IT SEEMED LIKE I WALKED INTO A RESTAURANT OR A PIZZA SHOP AND SMELLED THE FOOD.AN OLD LADY WHO SEEMED TO HAVE JUST WOKEN UP CAME OUT. I ASKED HER IF SHE WAS MY MASSEUSE?SHE DIDN'T ANSWER MY QUESTION, SHE JUST ASKED ME HOW LONG I WANTED, THE COMMUNICATION BARRIER MADE ME DOUBT HER PROFESIONAL ABILITIES, BUT I STILL PAID.THE FACILITIES OF THE SPA ARE VERY SIMPLE, LIKE A GROCERY STORE, AND VERY DIRTY.I LAID DOWN ON THE BED IN MY UNDERWEAR WITH NOTHING COVERING MY BODY.I HEARD A MAN NEXT DOOR COUGHING, SPITTING AND FARTING.THE DOORBELL KEPT RINGING, AND I COULDN'T RELAX AT ALL.WHAT DISAPPOINTED ME MOST WAS THE PERSON WHO PROVIDED ME WITH THE MASSAGE. I DOUBTED WHETER SHE HAD RECEIVED PROFESIONAL TRAINING, SHE DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THE MUSCLES AT ALL AND HER TECHNIQUES WAS VERY ROUGH. I NEEDED TO REPEATEDLY POINT TO HER,THE SHOULDER AREA THAT NEEDED TO BE MASSAGE, BUT SHE DIDN'T UNDERSTAND A WORD OF ENGLISH AT ALL AND KEPT TOUCHING MY WAIST WITH HER HANDS AND THEN TOOK OF MY UNDERWEAR,AND TOUCH MY BUTT.SHE WENT IN AND OUT OF THE ROOM 4 TIMES AND FARTED LOUDLY, I WAS SO ANNOYED THAT I MADE THE WORST DECISION TO WALKED INTO THIS MASSAGE SPA AND WASTE TIME AND MONEY. THEY HAVE NO PROFESIONAL SKILLS AND NO BUSINESS, I PAID FOR AN HOUR AND THEY SPEND 20 MINUTES TEASING ME AND THEN ASKED ME TO TURN OVER,WHEN SHE CAME CLOSE AND TRYED TO PUT HER HANDS ON MY ABDOMEN I STOPPED HER.I TOLD HER THAT I DIDN'T NEEDED AN ABDOMINAL MASSAGE, I NEEDED A SHOULDER DELTOID CRAMP. THERE WAS NO IMPROVEMENT AND I STARTED TO FEEL FRUSTRATED, I DIDN'T WANT HER TO GET TOO CLOSE TO ME BECAUSE SHE BURPED SEVERAL TIMES AND THERE WAS A STRONG SMELL OF GARLIC,AND I COULD FEEL HER SWEAT DRIPPING ON MY ARMS AND LEGS.THE AIR IN THE ROOM WAS VERY BAD THERE WAS TRACES OF LIGUID RUNNING DOWN THE WALLS OF THE ROOM.IT LOOKED DIRTY,I JUST WANTED TO END THIS BAD MASSAGE. NO RESPECT, NO EDUCATION, NO SHAME, NO MORALS,NO PROFESIONAL TRAINING. NEVER BELIEVE THOSE FAKE 5 STAR REVIEWS THAT ARE WRITTEN. THE BOSS PAID.NOT RECOMMENDED TO EVERYONE, SPECIALLY LADIES. This is just leaving the place....I have been here twice, first time was ok but then again I never got a massage before.. second time I slept wrong and got a huge crook in my neck like never before. Went there and the lady went over the 30mins she was doing everything she could think of to help me. At the end I still left with the crook but she kept trying and trying and rubbing, I was kicking in pain and saying stop but she kept going (it's a good thing) I left feeling a little better but still in so much pain. Even with all that I could feel she felt bad and wanted to help she kept saying I'll keep going don't worry about the time. I didn't get her name and she wasn't the lady I first had who wasn't all that great. I tipped her 30$ and the massage for 30mins was 39 with tax.
