I visited Piccola on October 27, 2023 @ 3:00. I sat outside under the pavilion. I asked one waitress about their dessert and she brought me a "to-go" menu. After reviewing their menu and deciding, I sat outside for half an hour before I had to embarrassingly signal for someone through their glass window. Once a waitress arrived, I placed my order for the lasagna. I asked the waitress if the meat in their lasagna was made from pork. She said it wasn't. I asked her several times, and with certitude, she said it was made entirely with beef. I ordered it. After it arrived to my table, I took one small bite out of due to uncertainty. I called a different Piccola location and asked them what kind of meat was used in their last. They told me it was a mix of beef and pork. I was so disgusted and disappointed with the waitress who made me believe her. I trusted her knowledge, yet, she was wrong. I am a Muslim and I do not consume pork. I even told the waitress that so she could understand the gravity of the situation before I ordered the meal. The manager was contacted and after I informed him of my experience, he was irate. He couldn't believe one of his employees did that. He offered me a free meal at his expense whenever I'm ready. I may take...
Read moreThis is another Pizzeria in Greater Miami with good and authentic Italian pizza!
We had actually planned to go to their other location on NW 79th Ave, but after having driven around their very tiny plaza (and the very tiny one on the other side of the street) for good 20 minutes without being able to find a spot, we decided to come here.
This restaurant is also located in a small strip plaza and finding a spot around lunch time on a weekday was also not that easy; luckily there are more parking places in the back of the building, where the actual entrance of the pizzeria is.
It consists of a small-medium size open room, simply decorated and from where you can also see where/how they do the pizza.
I ordered a pizza Piccola: it was really good and you can tell that the ingredients were fresh. The only negative thing was that it was not very warm, and this is a problem for me personally just because I’m a very slow eater.
Regardless, I look forward to visiting them again soon, to try other pizzas – or even pasta.
They don’t have a wide selection of wines and beers, but they’re all imported and of high quality.
The staff is very friendly, and their low prices are surely...
Read moreI am a stickler for customer service, and I was flabbergasted with the RACIAL PROFILING I received at this establishment. It was very disappointing and distasteful. Imagine I decided to visit this spot for lunch with my son primarily because of the reviews I read, well, we got there early and waited a bit for them to open, my son & I were really anxious to try this place. The signed said open however we weren't sure so I beckoned to the gentleman inside and he said yes they were open and if we wanted a menu which he proceed to hand us, he then called to this couple who were obviously white and asked if they wanted to come and have a seat while we were still standing at the door, so I asked are you going to invite us in as well, this person opened his mouth and said oh he thought that we wanted to see the price as most persons like myself looks at the price and walk away, I was sooooooooo appalled I said excuse me, he then apologized invited us in realized his mistake but I was not gonna create a scene because that's not my nature, it was too late to go somewhere else because of our time constraints so we had our meal which was not very appetizing to...
