Cosmo Nails & Bar — Attraction in Dr. Phillips

My friend was visiting so we picked this place because they said they did hybrid gel nails. When we arrived they then said they did “hot gel” which they said was the same. I’d never gotten this so I trusted the process. She applied the gel and told me to put my hand under the lamp. The gel IMMEDIATELY felt like lava on my finger. I snatched my hand out and began to shake my hand and the tech didn’t offer any solution, she just looked at me. This went on finger after finger. The burning went away after about 5 seconds but imagine LAVA on you for 5 seconds!!! 😭😭

I got my nails and toes done on Saturday and by Thursday, FOUR of the overlays had popped off! Other hand is in tact and toes are fine.

8/16 Went back today (6 days later) with 4 missing nails and 2 lifting on the right hand. The woman that did my nails was at the desk when I entered. I showed her my hands and explained the situation. She immediately said she would fix it. We sat down and she asked “do you work a lot?”. I said that I am on the computer all day so she suggested dip powder nails instead. She removed all of the remaining nails and did a new dip powder set at no charge. She did mention that the owner asked her about the review and she asked me to remove it. I don’t think it would be fair to delete a true review. I WILL update it to 3 stars for now since she did a new set. If it lasts, I may update to 4 but only time will tell…. Sunday, August 18th another nail pops off 🤬. I’ll be reaching out for a refund!

8/20/24 Lost another one! 😫 8/23/24 This is what’s left of my nails. So I’m on a cruise looking LESS than raggedy! I even bought nail polish to try to camouflage the missing nails but that didn’t even help! I’m reaching out for a refund, waiting...

Worst nail service I have ever received! Shape was horrendous! Two things I requested...one was round edges and the other was SNS dip. I did the white French tip. My nail edges were not round and the middle of my nails dipped. So I had slingshot looking nails. The edges of my nails was higher than the middle of my nails. It was awful and embarrassing. The other thing was that the top of my nails were not dipped in SNS. The girl painted on the white. I didn't even know that was a thing but she told me that it would be better. Absolutely not! I had my nails done on Thursday and by Sunday the white was peeling off. Mind you, I was on vacation so I had not done any work that would cause this to happen...no dishes, no cleaning, nothing. Don't let anyone talk you into this. Also, I was with 3 other ladies and I was in the seat and having my nails worked on 20 minutes before anyone showed up to work on my friends nails. We all had 9:30 appointments. Even though I was the first in the seat I was the last out of the seat by 25 minutes. The girl working on my nails filed and filed and filed my nails. I just don't understand. It was unbelievable. My nails looked awful. This was being done for my daughters wedding and I wanted my nails to look beautiful and in the end I was ashamed of how my hands looked. I wanted to complain and have this taken off and redone by someone else but time was of the essence and I didn't want to ruin my daughters day and also have the other ladies waiting for me. The worst part is that I paid for this...

First and foremost this nail salon is so clean! The minute you walk in you’re greeted! Music flowing, beverage offerings, and the pedi chair is nothing compared to any other salon! That chair will massage you to sleep! I absolutely just love this place! I’ve been in Florida almost 2 years and I have been bouncing from salon to salon to find a perfect nail tech and finally I found a wonderful salon! So warm and welcoming! My pedi was done by Amy, which today is her 2nd day and she is so gentle and does excellent work! She’s very sweet!

Jay did my ombré full set and he is the truth! Attention to detail at its finest! He’s awesome! He’s funny as hell too!

Now let’s talk about Amanda!! She’s a whole vibe! She makes you feel at home! Another nail tech y’all must book! I felt she was my sister from another mother how comfortable she made me feel!

Honestly, whomever you book with will do exceptional work!

The salon’s ambiance is PHENOMENAL!

From the moment I walked in I felt at home and my face hurts from all the laughing I did They are all unique in their own way!

Can’t wait to go back!

Throughout the years I’ve gotten my nails done, this the first time I’ve actually left a salon happy and satisfied!
