Update: I'm dropping my rating to 1 star. I have been a customer for 3 years at Dublin's Radiant waxing. I have always had great appreciation for the staff and the work. A year ago, my membership was changed to a "walk-in only", removing the ability to book appointments before hand, because I was late to couple appointments by 5 minutes (I'm sure not more than that). Interestingly, when I was a regular member, I have experienced waiting in their lobby for 20mins for my waxer to show up despite making an appointment and also one instance where the waxer never showed up and I had to reschedule . This place penalizes customers for showing up 5m late but doesn't seem to care when they mess up badly. When I bring this up for discussion, I get the classic "oh but I wasn't the manager back then". Lol how is that my problem? This place makes it seem like they are doing a favor and not appreciate the business, especially considering I have been their customer for over 3 years. In the most recent conversation with the manager, I sensed they were immediately willing to discuss membership cancelation and refund, as opposed to figuring out a solution and retaining a customer who had previously left a golden review. I guess when people start taking their business elsewhere, they might be incentivized to reconsider their policies and take a course on customer relationships.
My old review(choosing not to remove this): Super professional staff and very clear instructions. They understood my allergies and products I was using to make sure I don't develop any reactions. India was my waxilogist and she put me at ease and did a...
Read moreI would not recommend this place to anyone with sensitive skin. I just moved to the area and needed a new eyebrow place and saw they had great reviews.
The girl who waxed me was very nice but as soon as I got home I realized how bad the burning sensation on my eyebrows was. I tried to ignore it but after looking in the mirror I realized significant portions of my skin had been ripped off. In fact she took off more skin than she did hair. The burning lasted over 5 hours and was extremely painful.
I had a huge event the next day and looked completely ridiculous as the pain was so awful I was terrified of applying any sort of makeup or coverup.
Its now been a few days and I am still healing and dealing with incredibly uncomfortable skin.
I called and spoke to the manager and she apologized and refunded my money, and while she was nice this NEVER should have happened. She also asked me to email her the photos and then did not respond.
Bottom line, if you have sensitive skin do NOT come here. I have been getting eyebrow waxes every 2 weeks or so for the past ten years and have NEVER had this happen. It is...
Read moreI'm not sure why this place gets such great reviews. I have been a regular Brazilian waxer for many years and moved so needed to find a new place. I picked this based on the reviews but it has been my worst waxing experience so far. The girl was pretty nice and when I was getting waxed I thought oh this isn't so bad (pain wise), even though I could feel her going over the same spots.
When I got home it was a different story. I had brusies and there were parts where the first layer of skin ripped off, and it was so swollen I couldn't even touch it; I had to ice it. (And there was still a lot of hair left behind). The next few days it felt really itchy because the skin was scabbing over. Now that the skin is healing and the hair is growing back, I have been getting horrible ingrowns which I never really got before. I don't fault the girl but I think the method they use is not the best way for a sensitive area...
