My most favorite place in the world to go to an event. Sports/orchestras/concerts/rodeo's you name it. Parking ramp 1 block away-parking always available in the ramp. Bar/hotel right across the street for a pre-drink/meeting spot. Other parking is by parking meters on the street or free on the street or if you are lucky enough to find a free lot(which are avlb) Easy and fast entry.Security is easy to work with and easy going. They just check your bag for weapons- don't treat you like a criminal. Good drink prices and nice amnt of pours and good choices of beers and liquor. Fun flashy cup/drink options. Small enough that even the cheapest highest seats are good seats. Security is again so easy going that they let you get on the empty floor spots and dance or just move closer to the stage. We always buy the cheapest tickets and move around "at will". Usually things aren't sold out so you have no problem standing up cheering/singing/dancing/stretching. I've been going there for 10 years and I have never had a problem with people being rude or uptight. People are always willing to switch seats if I know I'm gonna be obnoxious or loud or in someones way by standing up alot. The pluses of a smaller venue. I hear they are trying to build a bigger Center to bring in bigger acts. That means bigger prices/harder security/bigger crowds which means less freedom(for me-to be me). Less parking avlble etc. Hope this doesn't happen. Location is just inside the city limits so it is also easy in and easy in and easy out of town. If there were a rating of 10 I would...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Five Flags Center is a bit of an area institution. Since my youth it has been THE place for concerts, special events, sporting contests and so much more. Always enjoyable, the venue offers reasonably priced drinks and "arena food" (i.e., popcorn, nachos, etc.) that is good quality. While the arena still holds some concerts (country music is their staple) the rock concerts of its heyday are long gone. It's too bad because bands like KISS, the Scorpions,Ratt and so many others used to pack the place. It is still worth going to any event that calls it home! The only criticism is the lack of rock acts that management brings in, it would be a huge boon to the area and would bring it back into becoming a place national touring rock acts would...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFive flags is such a scam and wants to have more concerts- maybe if they figured their tickets system out. Spent $70 on Yung gravy in July and half the crowd got free tickets the week of. When I bought tickets there was not a Pit option, only GAā¦because I would have got Pit in a heart beat. Then they added Pit and seated tickets to TicketMaster, which seating was a free for all anyways so not sure why sell assigned seats to begin with. Asked to upgrade and the lady said we cant do that. Paid the same price for GA as Pit and wasnāt able to upgrade, scam! The Pit was the smallest pit ever, could maybe fit 50 people. Goodluck getting more concerts with the shitty ticket system and set up. So disappointed and was so excited for Yung Gravy....
