A fun and educational activity for all ages! Multiple aquariums, interactive activities and educational videos. There’s something for everyone at the National Mississippi River Museum! We could have easily spent so many more hours here! They were also setting up for a wedding later that night (how cool would that be to go to a wedding here!?) #thingstodoiniowa #traveliowa #whereiowastarted #dubuque #iowa #nationalmississippirivermuseum #paigeiniowa #diamondjonationalrivercenter

A casino is a casino is most likely a casino. DJCD is a casino also but they stand out a little more their competitors due having entertainment other than gaming. DJCD has the usual casino stories being told daily from the heartbreak of spending what you don’t have and making life more difficult to winning and getting ahead of life if only for a little bit. The day I visited the casino was exceptionally clean and in general looked up to date with casino times. Probably could have given a Five Star rating but my wallet said you need to leave with more than you came in with to do that. Enjoy and good luck to ya!

Love this place. We come here a couple times a year with a bus trip that we run through our travel agency Latitudes Travel. They are friendly. Place is clean and not too smokey like other casino in Wisconsin. Food is good and the buffet has everything. In my opinion the food and drink prices in the other l restaurant are a little on the high side see that this is a casino. There is no incentive to come and stay hangout for a while and take a break. It costs more to have a couple of drinks and an appetizer that to just keep playing.

Diamond Jo Casino in Dubuque Iowa I must honestly Admit is the MOST RACIST Casino in my 20 years of Visiting different Casino's. MONEY is the Color Green and it ALL SPENDS the same way. Speaking from Experience at Diamond Jo Casino in Dubuque Iowa. If you are of ANY Minority Ethnicity maybe you have shared the same UNACCEPTABLE Experience at Diamond Jo Casino???? It's ONE thing you have Very Tight/Horrible Payouts for Slot Machines!!! It's another thing SHAME that Security and some of the staff follows you all around the casino!! I have visited loads/lots of different Casino's and Fair treatment this is by FAR THE ABSOLUTE WORST!! Diamond Jo Please get the Webster Dictionary & look up the word/meaning 4 EQUALITY!! To the General Manager(Wendy Runde) I personally Wrote a Letter to this RACIST Casino & paid Almost $10 dollars to send CERTIFIED WITH SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION!!! Someone At Diamond Jo Casino Signed 4 that letter at Diamond Jo Casino. In that letter I requested that Diamond Jo CEASE All Communication with ANY Correspondence/letters!!! Please tell me why is this RACIST Casino still sending mailing me letters??? I will NEVER, NEVER Visit this RACIST Casino again so PLEASE βœ‹ STOP!!! Anytime you as a Customer play Musical Chairs Musical Slot machines and Each time I move to a different area within 10-15 minutes here comes another Staff/Security Following me around OVER & OVER & OVER Again Throughout MY WHOLE ENTIRE VISIT!!! I brought my mother on another Visit because I thought it was just me. The SAME EXACT thing happened we were Followed around All Night/morning long. My Aunt wanted to come to Diamond Jo Casino I Already Explained to my Aunt about the Staff/Security making us VERY UNCOMFORTABLE!!! I brought my Aunt and the Staff/Security followed us ALL NIGHT/MORNING until we LEFT!!! Message to RACIST Diamond Jo Casino.. ALL CUSTOMER'S REGARDLESS OF RACE ARE NOT CRIMINALS... ARE NOT THIEVES...ARE NOT VIOLENT OR TROUBLE MAKER'S!!! Message to General Manager(Wendy Runde) Someone/Staff Signed 4 that letter CEASE All Communication Correspondence IMMEDIATELY Since you have a COMPREHENSION PROBLEM!!!!! I would of given the Rating a Negative Minus -------10 if was an Option!!! Third(3rd) to ANY Who believes that Diamond Jo Buffet is Delicious/Good is a HUGE FAIL.. BIG LIE.. EXTREMELY BIG LIE... Very Minimum Selection of Foods and TASTE/LOOK WORST than DOG FOOD!! The Food at the Buffet at Diamond Jo Casino looks WORST than πŸ– Pig Slop/Slob...The Joke is as a New Member they give you a Free Buffet after EARNING 25 SLOT POINTS πŸƒ πŸƒ Run ALL Customer's!! There should be something LEGALLY Done about this RACIST Casino Diamond Jo!!! Yes Staff/Security has a job 2 walk around but NOT follow you EVERY Slot Machine you constantly get up from and move on another side.. That is VERY UNACCEPTABLE!! EQUALITY 4 ALL Customer's at Diamond Jo...

My wife and I were staying at the Julian in Dubuque for a fun date night away from our kids. Our 1st stop was to have dinner at LMay's prior to arriving at the casino for some fun. We both had a 2 glasses of wine and drove our vehicle back to our hotel to park it for the evening... With the idea of having some fun gambling and drinking throughout the night. We decided to take a cab rather than drive which we felt was the Responsible decision we felt at the time. As we entered the Casino my wife and I were laughing and talking about what we wanted to do amongst ourselves quitely when this security guard told us we had to leave. The casino has a very strict policy when it comes to alcohol. Wait what??? Are you implying something because we are laughing and smiling as we walked into the Casino. Maybe not what they are use to when taking grandma and grandpas social security checks from them. But we were here for some fun. I didn't realize it was a zero tolerance policy when there is a bar inside the casino serving alchol. He stated that he saw us get out of the taxi cab implying what exactly??? So what we took a cab??? I asked him if he assumed we are drunk because we took a cab rather than drive our $150,000 dollar sports car to valet when an ice storm was projected to hit town later. I was treated so differently because we showed up in a cab. I was just about to go off on this guy and ask to speak to management when my wife of 16 years laughed, grabbed my arm and said let's just go... And we did without saying a word. This place is a joke... I would have fired this guy if he worked for me at anyone of my companies on the spot. Poor judgment and stereotyping people... He is clearly costing this Casino a ton of money! I would suggest you not gamble here at all.. Stay away completely if traveling through the Dubuque area. Several other options are better! Or just keep your money entirely... Staff is rude, door security guy was a joke. No personality & very disrespectful. I'll take my friends, my money and my business elsewhere! Funny how every other Casinos that we visited that night let us in, were all extremely busy, but this one was a ghost town! I can tell you why... Maybe ownership should...

I used to LOVE LOVE LOVVE going to the diamond Jo, not so much since they have filled their Security positions with rude condescending employees and I'm not gonna single out the long haired ponytail princess guy with glasses paying more attention to the candy STARBURSTS he was organizing(?) by colors but he had to take a moment out of his time and he sighed and made it very clear by the tone of his voice and looks on his face this was nothing but a nuisance for him. & rather than helping me come up with a solution to said problem he shushes me and called for the large heavy breathing guy whom sadly is considered a supervisor, that yells over any and everyone as they try to speak. Just disappointing. It goes for most of the staff at the doors at this point. BUT to say a FULL course in Customer courtesy and service would do every single one of them some good. I will add If you have a temporary ID don't even bother going. Don't WASTE your time.. Get your shit together DJ. Y'all definitely need a better more efficient Age verification system. But Really overall it's how my situation was handled which was NOT PROFESSIONAL at all. Sad to know these ARE the people that you allow to be the face of your business. You have definitely lost a loyal, faithful very good paying customer. It'll be a LONG TIME before I take and spend any money here again. And...
