Cook's Pest Control — Attraction in Duluth

Where to start. DO NOT HIRE UNTIL READING. I am extremely disappointed in the protection that we were guaranteed by having this service. The reason we didn’t consider any other pest control was because of our termite bond. That ends now. We’ve had cooks for two years. They were very helpful when we were buying the service then had continuously went downhill from there.

From the beginning we had “service” every month, only to find out that the technician, was just signing off that he treated our house, when another technician can back out after complaining about roaches and spiders, he told me that it was clear that our house hadn’t had proper service for probably 6 months!! He said there were webs built up that should have been cleaned up at least every other time.

Now, they have sold us a moisture barrier for our crawl space, and sold us on the safety and that they would clean up all of the old rodent trash left behind and all these other amazing perks, only to have another person actually come in and install it. All he did was put a black tarp down, didn’t even want to take the stuff out of the crawl space, he just wanted to throw this black tarp on top of everything. By the way this was about $500.

Now, it gets better, we have mice and rats!! One living under our stove. How the hell does a “Pest Control” service allow this to happen? I spend over $700-$800 to have this service, not including the service above. I reluctantly write this because you must be envisioning a nasty house etc. I live in a $400,000 3,000sf home that has had pest control for the two years we’ve lived here and Cooks, could not even protect us from these rodents.

I had to put out mice and rat traps, because Cooks sticky traps would have a kill, only for the rodent to be able to get away. They have yet to call and follow up on the rodent problem or come and check it out, it’s extremely poor service.

Now I have spent additional money to have someone come out and eradicate the rodent problem. If you have a pest control service, you should not have a rodent problem and if you do, your pest control service should do everything possible to get the situation under control. They are fired! Unfortunately they have some very nice people that work there, there is just no consistency, continuity, they love their money but have no commitment to keeping their client safe...

I have been with Cook's for 4 months and their service is terrible. I have cancelled their service and was charged $377. Every time i would call, someone would tell me another figure. Why would that figure not be in the computer. They are not professional and would not recommend them. It is the not the service guy, but the manager and the customer service. I do not feel comfortable with them, they did a switch and bait initially, but I am not seeing the purpose of what they are doing. Back last fall, I still had bees on my fence, countless spiders, wood cockroach. According to them, just keep calling them to come out. I feel like every time I speak with someone else, I get some different information. That is some shady business. I would not recommend them or go...

Been a customer for 4 years lately been dealing with ants spoke to Chris (techs supervisor) he make appointment promising of taking care of ants he never showed up Been told by techs: we want to do our work the issue is cooks office doesn't want to buy proper chemicals to do our work I was giving by tech another example of a rat inspection for another customer and he said he was fighting rats with only the minimum of tools and chemicals due to office denied of buying everything To do his work
