We stopped in to find out how quickly they could make a pizza at that time due to us being on a work break lunch. Harbor, who was working their and has been for quite some time acknowledged our concern and said it would be a quick 15 minutes. He followed through and checked on our table a few times to make sure we didn’t need anything else. The employee was not only knowledgeable and personable, he gave us patience and made some great recommendations due to this being our first time here. 90’s themed art was all over the restaurant and we love the 90’s!! (Check out the pictures, this place was amazing!) They try to keep a good selection of on tap beers, which they do a great job of fulfilling. Their pizza was cooked to perfection and you can tell that it’s REAL & fresh ingredients. We can’t wait to take my boyfriends daughter there!! Two other people were eating inside and were super friendly. We laughed together about the Oprah art in the women’s bathroom. The prices were great and we shared the smallest sized pizza which filled us up. Half pepperoni and half cheese. They also have many different options of sauces and toppings if you love a bunch of fresh toppings on your pizza. Each table had parm and red pepper shakers. We both recommend going to see Harbor at Flying Pie Pizzaria at this specific location. We will be enjoying this place multiple times in the future! Thank you to Harbor for such friendly and attentive service, plus conversing with us about Boise and the restaurant’s great 90’s feel. We asked who did the artwork and he said a talented previous employee painted it all himself. Oh, I must say, the restaurant was very clean and orderly… the bathrooms were...

Back for the Flying Pie….NOT! I ordered a pizza on the phone however, the order system ordered me the wrong pizza. The counter guy said it is always a problem. I wonder how many sales are lost. I didn’t want to wait 20 minutes for a new pizza to be made. Ok I ordered a beer. Ouch! $8.00. They added the missing pepperoni to the pie after they heated it up. Then I got the pizza, OMG it was awful. A lousy pizza because the owner changed the recipe to avoid having the doe sticking the the dough press. WHAT? I thought the dough is suppose to be airborne and flying and not squeezed in an aluminum newfangled press to save time and on top of that, it is not oven fired in the brick ovens. It’s run through a tracked oven much like those old hotdogs at a gas station. I mean this so called Flying Pie” pizza was tasteless. I’ve been a customer for 17 years. The owner is killing the golden goose. The good old “ I can count on the great flavor and classic rock” is dead. Why would I go to buy a lousy unflavored pizza? I can call Dominos for that experience. If you want the real Flyin pie, go to the Fairview store. Eclectic, fun,and the pizza is the real Flying Pie. Note to self, if they remove the brick oven on Fairview, I am done with Flying Pie. 17 year run. It’s been grand. So sad the owner shot the Flying Goose in the new stores. And another thing, what’s with removing the playing cards on the orders? Now we are just a number. Where have I heard that before? The card was part of the FLYING PIE culture. Now they use a number? What’s next, removing the horn...

Updated Review 11MARCH2023:

So against my better judgment I gave them another chance.

Can’t take online orders because system down, called and the employee tried to refer me back to online ordering and stated they “didn’t want to overwhelm their new cook” and to wait to order online.

Stay away, I called Idaho Pizza right around the corner here in Eagle and I am enjoying delicious pizza.

Too many options these days to put up with bad service. See original review below…. just sad.

Old Review:

It is with great sorrow that I have to report a one star on a place I have been going to for years now. We have ordered take home pizzas, with toppings, to make at our home for a while now and have even recommended this service to friends and family of ours.

Today I have been told that “we do not do that at this location” upon further questioning, it was only specific toppings that could not be done, and the story changed rapidly. Whatever happened to good customer service, it is unfortunate that I will no longer patron this local chain and will let all who I know not to either.

Spend your hard earned dollars at a place that deserves it! I’ve given a five star review in the past for this same local chain. I wanted to make sure that we captured the current state of our restaurant service industry.

I don’t have another suggestion for a great pizza place unfortunately, customer service is dead, I guess the customer is no longer...

Pizza is delicious. $8 for a pint of beer???...Flying Pie should publish prices so the consumer knows what they are in for. $8 for a pint is the highest I've paid in Idaho, Oregon or Washington ever. And on a Sunday evening?? To be fair the pizza is great....BUT please don't trick your customers into over paying for beer & not making prices CLEAR UP front. Publish so we can make a fair & informed decision.
