literally awful. employees are all passive aggressive towards anyone they deem unworthy of basic human respect. 2 cashiers laughed at my mom in her face after telling her to "hurry up with getting a confirmation code" from her email which she was clealry already doing. so be prepared to have everything on speed dial if you dare ask these people to print your ticket. anyway. with the 5 times i have visited, i've observed that this is pretty much the behavior of all the employees here. however being quite literally laughed at is where i've drawn the line when it comes to tolerating the weirdness.
interior is off-putting but whatever. movies themselves play fine, there's never any volume issues or anything. word of mouth is that the popcorn gives food poisoning and have been warned not to eat it, and my belief in that is strengthened by the mentions of it in reviews here (lol.) if they can't even clean the popcorn machines, i can safely assume they don't clean the chairs or anything else like that either so id be cautious.
just do yourself a favor and take the hour to drive to marcus theatres in fargo. process of getting your tickets and seats are far more easy. inconvenient yes, but you actually get what a typical, normal theater visit would give you: a welcoming and wonderful experience. breaks my heart as a cinema lover that this is the only local...

The audio quality was abysmal, and they just kept the volume at max, so we walked out with headaches. The food was overpriced. $5 something for a pretzel? Really? Cold popcorn and butter. Nachos were good, though.
Only one door into theatre 1 ( luxury is laughable description ) and a bright hall light right outside. So anytime anyone went out, it lit the entire room up. When people held the door open for 3 minutes waiting on others, it really took you out of the movie. Also seemed like people were coming and going every 5 minutes.
Parents allow their kids to talk through the entire showing. Rude people walking through couldn't even duck down to avoid blocking screen for others.
With theatres like this, I hope movies stream from home more often. I would have saved money and enjoyed the movie more. I will never be going back and wouldn't recommend anyone else...
Read moreI'm so confused as to why people love this place. First, the popcorn is toxic or rancid or something. Every single time I've had it, I've been sick with horrible stomach issues the following day. It's not just me- my boyfriend, my sister, mom, her boyfriend & his son - all have gotten sick from the popcorn. Please change your butter topping or clean machines, for the love of God, as the only theater in town. Also, it's not auditorium seating here with a big screen above/in front of you, & you walk down to you seat, like it was at AMC- which, bless its heart & RIP, was built to be a theater. This place was a mall, which is why the screens are so small & movies are projected low. You walk up wooden steps to your seat, then have to look DOWN at the screen. Which means every head in front of you blocks part of the screen. And God help you if you're 5'8" & claustrophobic, & then a large bodied person sits in front of you & reclines allllll the way back into your "row." There goes your leg room. This theater is the reason I cried when AMC closed. Now this is what we're stuck with- small screens, no leg room & diarrhea...
